Hanoi introduces new tuition fees for high-quality public schools.

The Hanoi City People's Council has approved a Resolution stipulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions that are self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses; and for high-quality public preschool and general education institutions in Hanoi for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Hanoi currently has 298 preschool and primary/secondary education institutions that are self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses.

Accordingly, the resolution applies to: Public preschool and general education institutions in Hanoi that are self-financing their recurrent expenditures (excluding public preschool and general education institutions currently implementing the pilot program of ordering educational service prices as stipulated in Resolution No. 02/2023/NQ-HĐND dated July 4, 2023, of the Hanoi People's Council on temporary educational service prices for pilot implementation in preschool and general education institutions using state budget funds in Hanoi; and high-quality public preschool and general education institutions) and preschool children and general education students studying at these institutions. This includes high-quality public preschool and general education institutions in Hanoi and preschool children and general education students studying at these institutions.

Specifically, the regulations on tuition fees for public preschool and primary/secondary education institutions that are self-financing; and high-quality public preschool and primary/secondary education institutions in Hanoi for the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:

At the same time, the Hanoi City People's Council approved regulations on educational service prices to be implemented on a pilot basis for preschool and general education institutions using the Hanoi City State budget.

Accordingly, the prices of preschool and general education services using the state budget of Hanoi and the proportion of salaries in the service price are as follows. The funding for implementation comes from the state budget and tuition fees as stipulated by the Hanoi City People's Council.
