A goal in the final minutes of injury time gave Hong Linh Ha Tinh a dramatic comeback victory against Ho Chi Minh City FC in a seven-goal thriller.

On the afternoon of May 27th, as part of Round 9 of the Nightwolf V.League 2023, Hong Linh Ha Tinh hosted Ho Chi Minh City FC at their home stadium.
In this match, both teams fielded their familiar lineups with few changes. Dinh Thanh Trung continued to be entrusted with the captain's armband for Hong Linh Ha Tinh. On the Ho Chi Minh City FC side, the captaincy also belonged to another veteran, naturalized player Hoang Vu Samson.
Hong Linh Ha Tinh took the initiative to attack from the very first minutes of the match.

Just when it seemed the equalizer would bring a surge of confidence to their play, the home team in Ha Tinh received another blow from the visiting team. In the final minute of added time in the first half, from a corner kick, Hoang Vu Samson rose high to head the ball into the net past goalkeeper Duong Quang Tuan, raising the score to 2-1.
Just two minutes into the second half, Mansaray scored again, completing his brace and doubling the lead for Ho Chi Minh City FC.
The match heated up again after Bui Van Duc crossed from the left wing, allowing Paulo Pinto to head the ball in and reduce the deficit for Hong Linh Ha Tinh.

The game quickly shifted after the home team, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, were awarded a penalty in the 74th minute. The visiting team's defender, Campbell, fouled Pinto inside the penalty area and received a direct red card.
Dinh Thanh Trung took the penalty kick, and although it took him two attempts, he scored a valuable equalizer for the Hong Mountain team.
With the advantage they had, the home team Ha Tinh created a series of dangerous opportunities. And the sweet reward came in the 97th minute when Van Long scored from a corner kick, securing the victory for his team.
Hong Linh Ha Tinh staged an emotional comeback against Ho Chi Minh City FC, winning 4-3.
With this result, the Hong Mountain team temporarily moved up to 6th place in the standings with 13 points after 9 rounds.
