Ha Tinh received the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Ministry of Culture

With many outstanding achievements in its work in 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh Province was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the afternoon of January 16th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province held a conference to summarize the work in culture, sports, and tourism in 2023 and to implement tasks for 2024.

Attending the conference were Dang Ngoc Son, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, and representatives from the leadership of several provincial and local departments and agencies.

Mr. Bui Xuan Thap - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh opened the conference.

In 2023, under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, and adhering closely to the guidance and motto "Decisive Action - Aspiration for Contribution" of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Tinh continued to make positive changes and achieved many outstanding results.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to request the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Committee a Resolution on "Building and developing the culture and people of Ha Tinh in the new period".

In addition, the department has successfully advised on and organized many high-quality events and art programs, meeting the requirements of political tasks and the cultural needs of the people, serving activities commemorating major holidays, contributing to promoting the image of the homeland, and attracting tourists, such as: the celebration of the birth anniversaries of the famous figures of the Nguyen Huy family and the reception of the certificate recognizing the Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village as documentary heritage of the Memory of the World Programme in the Asia-Pacific region; activities commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep, the New Year 2024 program...

Significant achievements have been made in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, notably: the renowned physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac was honored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); the bell of Chua Roi Pagoda was recognized as a National Treasure; the Ha Ton Tuyen Temple relic was ranked at the national level by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and 11 more relics were ranked at the provincial level...

The work of building cultural life at the grassroots level has received attention and emphasis. The movement "All people unite to build a cultured life" has been widely implemented, creating positive changes in people's lives. To date, the province has 354,732 out of 377,691 culturally exemplary families (reaching a rate of 93.9%); and 1,905 out of 1,937 culturally exemplary villages and residential areas (a rate of 98.3%).

The movement for physical training and sports, linked to the nationwide campaign for physical fitness following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh, has been vibrant and attracted many participants. High-performance sports have achieved many new successes, participating in 46 national and international competitions and winning 216 medals of all kinds. The U13 and U17 football teams won silver medals at the National U13 and U17 Football Championships.

Tourism has seen many positive developments; in 2023, the entire province welcomed 3,361,000 visitors (an increase of 110% compared to the same period in 2022, and a 34% increase compared to the 2023 plan).

Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Cam - Director of the Ha Tinh Traditional Arts Theatre - presented a paper entitled "Solutions to improve the quality of art program development in the new era".

At the conference, delegates shared many experiences in carrying out their tasks and proposed solutions to overcome difficulties and successfully implement the plan and objectives for 2024.

Continuing to build on the achievements, in 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province will closely follow and comprehensively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Culture Conference in 2021, the Conclusion of the Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee at the Provincial Culture Conference in 2022, and other provincial directives to provide timely and accurate advice on assigned tasks.

Focusing efforts and effectively implementing emulation movements, we strive to successfully achieve the following goals: Building and developing the culture and people of Ha Tinh in the new era; promoting mass physical education and sports activities, improving the quality of high-performance sports; strengthening tourism promotion and marketing, enhancing professionalism, and creating high-quality, diverse, branded tourism products that reflect the unique identity of Ha Tinh's land and people...

In his address at the conference, Dang Ngoc Son, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, on behalf of the provincial leadership, acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in 2023. He also pointed out some limitations in the sector's operations, such as: the system of institutions and facilities serving cultural activities is not yet synchronized and effective; some areas have not focused on evaluating and recognizing titles in the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement, affecting the depth and sustainability of the movement; high-performance sports are not yet truly sustainable; tourism and service activities still face many difficulties, revenue is not high, attractive tours and destinations have not been developed, and there are no branded, highly competitive tourism products; and promotion and marketing efforts are still limited...

The Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc emphasized: 2024 is a crucial year in implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year Plan 2020-2025. Therefore, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector needs to be determined and make efforts in leadership and direction, proactively coordinate well with units and localities; and constantly innovate and improve the quality of its activities...

At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced several commendation decisions at various levels for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023. Among them, for the results achieved in its work in 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh Province was awarded the "Outstanding Emulation Flag" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
