At the event, participating union members successfully completed their assigned plan to plant 1.3 hectares of acacia trees, making a significant contribution to greening barren land and hills, improving the local environment and ecological conditions.
In the joyful atmosphere of the early spring days, the launching ceremony was conducted safely, economically, and effectively, with high educational and propaganda value, bringing positive effects to society.
The Trade Union of the Cao Bang Customs Department will strive to maintain and promote tree planting activities to achieve increasingly positive results, aiming for the successful implementation of the "For a Green Vietnam" Program.
Regarding professional and operational work, in January 2024, the Cao Bang Customs Department processed import and export goods with a total value of over 70 million USD, an increase of 261% compared to the same period last year.
Of that total, exports reached $58.96 million, an increase of 530%; imports reached $11.09 million, an increase of 11%. The main goods imported and exported were agricultural products, machinery and equipment, automobiles, lead ingots, various types of coal, etc.
Regarding budget revenue, the entire Department collected 61.04 billion VND, a decrease of 17% compared to the same period last year, but reaching 105% of the unit's plan for January 2024. It is understood that the reason for the high increase in export value but decrease in tax revenue is mainly due to the increase in export value of agricultural products (which do not generate tax), while import items with high revenue such as textiles, various types of coal, automobiles, machinery and equipment... all experienced a decline.
