Two children were critically stung by bees and had to be hospitalized.

On July 25, the Central Highlands General Hospital (Dak Lak province) said it was treating two children who were stung by bees, causing serious injuries in many areas of the body.

According to initial information, at noon on July 21, TTS (born in 2018, residing in Dak Mil commune, Lam Dong province) followed his parents to work in the fields. While playing alone, he was attacked by a swarm of bees (species not yet determined), stinging his entire body. The child was taken to Cu Jut Medical Center for emergency treatment with about 200 bee stings, many of which were concentrated in the head and eye areas.

After initial treatment, S. was transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital. There, doctors determined that he had been stung by a hornet, causing secondary infection and damage to the cornea of ​​his right eye. Doctors from the Ophthalmology Department removed the venomous stinger from the patient's eye.

* In the second case, TVTN (8 years old, residing in Cu Pui commune, Dak Lak province) was also stung by a honey bee while picking guava on the morning of July 21. He was taken by relatives to Krong Bong Medical Center for first aid, then transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital for treatment due to the widespread wound.

Currently, the health of both children is stable and is being monitored.
