According to initial information, at noon on July 21st, TTS (born in 2018, residing in Dak Mil commune, Lam Dong province) accompanied her parents to work in the fields. While playing alone, she was attacked by a swarm of bees (species yet to be identified), which stung her all over her body. The child was taken to the Cu Jut Medical Center for emergency treatment with approximately 200 bee stings, many concentrated around the head and eyes.

After initial treatment, S. was transferred to the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital. There, doctors determined that the child had been stung by a giant hornet, causing secondary infection and damage to the cornea of the right eye. Doctors in the Ophthalmology Department then removed the stinger from the child's eye.
* In the second case, eight-year-old TVTN, residing in Cu Pui commune, Dak Lak province, was also stung by honey bees while picking guavas on the morning of July 21st. She was taken by relatives to the Krong Bong Medical Center for first aid, and then transferred to the Central Highlands Regional General Hospital for treatment due to the spreading wound.
Both children are now in stable condition and are being continuously monitored.
