In response to Youth Month, on the morning of March 23rd, the Lao student dormitory (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the 156th "Green Sunday" event, with the participation of students from three countries: Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

"Green Sunday" is a regular activity organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at all levels. Through the activities of union members and young people, it contributes to raising awareness and encouraging people to dispose of waste properly, maintain hygiene, avoid littering, improve the space and aesthetics of their living areas… gradually forming a more civilized and responsible lifestyle towards the environment for each individual in society.

Notably, this year's event also featured the participation of Mr. Chan Sorykan, Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Thon Bunheng, President of the Cambodian Student Association, the event provided an opportunity for students still in school to actively participate in environmental movements, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness in protecting the environment where they study and reside.

It is understood that the mural painting activity was proposed by the Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the aim of creating murals depicting characteristic imagery of the trilateral relationship between the three countries.

The finished mural carries many meanings.

Lao student Souphaphone Senhane said: "We had a really fun and meaningful Sunday. What impressed me most was that students from three countries worked together to complete the painting of a multicolored palm tree."

According to Ketchai Taiphop, a Lao student, despite ethnic and linguistic differences, everyone united in their support of the activity. This event spread a powerful message about environmental protection awareness, inspiring the community to work together for a sustainable green future.
