18-year journey of creating the mark and image of the Party Committee of the Civil - Political Bloc

(NLĐO) - The entire Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City is ready to join the country in entering a new era, an era of national progress.

On January 16th, the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City organized a ceremony to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); awarded Party badges for the February 3, 2025 period; evaluated and commended Party organizations and members in 2024; and summarized 18 years of activities of the Party Committee of the Bloc (2007 - 2025).

Creating more value

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Nam, City Party Committee member and Secretary of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam has become a historical milestone in the development process of our nation, formulating a correct political platform and pioneering the leadership of the Vietnamese revolution. "Under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese nation has written glorious chapters in history," Mr. Tran Van Nam stated.

Ms. Tran Kim Yen presented the 45-year and 40-year Party membership badges to Party members.

Mr. Tran Van Nam also extended his congratulations to the 17 party members who received the Party Badge on February 3, 2025.

According to Mr. Tran Van Nam, the badges that the party members were honored to receive are a prestigious award from the Party recognizing and honoring the contributions of the party members. Mr. Tran Van Nam expressed his hope that these 17 party members will forever uphold their unwavering oath to the Party and fulfill their duties as party members.

Tran Van Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City, delivered a speech at the conference.

Looking back at 18 years of operation of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc, Mr. Tran Van Nam said that this is not a long period compared to history, but it is enough to create the imprint and "image" of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City.

"Overcoming all worries, concerns, difficulties, and challenges, the entire Party Committee has upheld the spirit of unity, responsibility, innovation, and creativity, while ensuring the Party's principles and effectively fulfilling its assigned functions and tasks," said Mr. Tran Van Nam.

Mr. Tran Van Nam stated that over the past nearly 18 years, the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City has created many valuable achievements. These include grassroots party organizations and a contingent of party members who are always aware of their leading role and constantly strive to improve their leadership capacity and fighting spirit.

Thanks to their efforts over the past 18 years, the Party Committee, mass organizations of the People-Government-Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City, and grassroots Party committees, agencies, and units with Party organizations under the bloc's Party committee have been honored by the Party, the State, and the city with many prestigious titles and awards.

Ms. Tran Kim Yen presented the Certificate of Commendation from the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City.

"The journey of 2024 has come to an end. Completing the 2024 assessment of the quality of grassroots Party organizations and Party members also helps Party committees, Party branches, and Party members to review their work results, clearly identify strengths and weaknesses, and prepare and arrange to continue a new journey, a journey carrying many new determinations and expectations," Mr. Tran Van Nam expressed.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Tran Kim Yen, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, quoted the remarks of the Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Nguyen Thi Le. According to her, the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc is a very special Party Committee, with very special Party members.

These are the key leaders of Ho Chi Minh City; the key leaders of the city's departments and agencies – the main advisory units for Ho Chi Minh City on economic , cultural, social development and Party building.

Tran Kim Yen, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

"It can be said that the contributions and dedication of party members to the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City have contributed to building Ho Chi Minh City," Ms. Tran Kim Yen assessed.

According to Ms. Tran Kim Yen, from the early days when there were many difficulties to the present day, every party member of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City is proud to be a party member of the Bloc Party Committee and a party member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The development and achievements of Ho Chi Minh City are all thanks to the contributions of each party member of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City has left many significant marks during its operation.

Ms. Tran Kim Yen stated that after the reorganization of the apparatus according to Resolution 18, party members of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City will no longer participate in joint activities as they have done before.

However, Ms. Tran Kim Yen emphasized that with the character and pride of a Party member belonging to the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City, regardless of the environment or position, they will perform their duties as Party members to the best of their ability and continue to contribute to their unit. These contributions will create special milestones for Ho Chi Minh City.

10 outstanding achievements of the Party Committee of the People's, Government, and Party Bloc of Ho Chi Minh City after 18 years of operation:

1. Breakthroughs in leadership in carrying out political tasks.

2. Solutions to bring about a transformation in awareness, political fortitude, and resilience for Party organizations and Party members, preventing ideological and political degradation, moral decay, and lifestyle deviations, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".

3. Enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, and improve the quality of Party members.

4. Recruit 7,588 new party members, ensuring they meet the required standards.

5. Spreading the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, in conjunction with building a "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space".

6. Pioneering in social welfare work, joining hands in building new rural areas, for the homeland's islands and seas, and for the front lines of the nation.
