At exactly 12:00 PM on June 28th, golfers will begin a highly competitive match on courses A and B, expected to last until 5:00 PM after the completion of the 18-hole tournament.

Exciting competitions

The "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament is an event organized by the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, first held in September 2023. Its purpose is to create a playing field for professional and amateur golfers in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities nationwide, while also contributing to the "Proud of the National Flag" and "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper Scholarship" programs.

Given the scale of a sporting event combined with community service, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament - 2025 has finalized the number of participating athletes at 152. This number of golfers is also suitable for the modern and internationally standard Tan Son Nhat golf course project - an ideal destination for golf enthusiasts both domestically and internationally.

Golfers compete in a stroke play format with handicap over an 18-hole round across three different divisions. The tournament winner is the player with the lowest gross score after the competition ends. Meanwhile, the winner in each division is the player with the lowest net score (after the cut-off) at the end of the tournament.

If weather conditions are unsuitable, golfers are required to stop playing and temporarily move to a safe area until the tournament can resume. If a golfer is unable to complete the round, the Organizing Committee will apply par + handicap (index) points to golfers with official handicaps between 0-36, and double bogey points to golfers without official handicaps.

Connecting the golf community

Having participated in the competition since its first season as a pure athlete, actor and MC Binh Minh comes to the 3rd "I Love Vietnam" tournament this year in two roles: golfer and ambassador. With nearly 10 years of experience in golf, this former supermodel and handsome actor currently serves as the "president" of G81 Golf Club and is very proud to have won numerous awards in golf competitions.

Binh Minh said he was very honored and happy to accept the role of ambassador for the tournament organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, confident that his image and competitive abilities would contribute to promoting the tournament and bringing it success. He has prepared well both physically and skillfully for this event with the determination to win at least one title.

With the return of Binh Minh, many golfers have also expressed their readiness to participate in the "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament, not only professionally but also to contribute to the community service programs of the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

"It is the connection between the golf community and the social activities of the organizers that makes each of us understand and feel a greater sense of civic responsibility when participating in sports competitions, contributing a small part to the community," shared golfer Han Tan Quang.

He was delighted to know he was one of the golfers participating in the tournament for the third consecutive season.

Attractive prizes

The prizes for this year's "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament are quite attractive, including awards for outstanding golfers as well as technical awards such as Best Gross, Best Net, first and second place in each category (A, B, C); Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin, and Nearest to the Line.

The most anticipated prize in golf tournaments, traditionally, is the Hole-in-One (HIO) award, given for hitting the ball into the hole on the green with just one stroke, while also receiving a perfect score.

In its third edition this year, the "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament will award two official Hole-in-One prizes. One of these, at hole 5A, will include a VinFast VF9 electric car, a set of Honma Beres 09 5-star golf clubs, and a resort package in Kunming, China, with a total value exceeding 3 billion VND.

The remaining prize at hole 6B is a VinFast VF9 electric car along with a vacation package to Kunming, China, worth nearly 2 billion VND in total.

In addition, with the support of the golf tourism company Focus Group, the Organizing Committee plans to award two more Hole-in-One prizes at holes 8A and 4B, each consisting of a 4-day, 3-night Kunming resort package worth over 30 million VND.

The Lucky Draw, literally meaning "lucky prizes," includes many valuable items, most notably two resort vouchers at the Continental Saigon Hotel worth 20 million VND each.

At the awards gala, the Organizing Committee will present representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Former People's Police Officers and the Ho Chi Minh City Association of War Veterans with 100 million VND, to be used for scholarships for children of war veterans in difficult circumstances.

The Organizing Committee of the "Circle of Love" program of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will present a donation to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange.

Ho Chi Minh City donated 100 million VND (from the profits of the book "30 Years of Journalism's Milestones" by author - journalist - Dr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper); and also gave 5 victims of Agent Orange each a gift and 1 million VND.

The "Circle of Love" program will receive a donation of 100 million VND from Nam A Commercial Bank (Nam A Bank) and 50 million VND from Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, equivalent to 935 copies of the book "30 Years of Journalism's Milestones". Nam A Bank and Tan Son Nhat Golf Course have authorized the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to donate these books to frontline officers and soldiers who are working day and night to protect the country's borders and islands.
