Hát Đúm can take place on the road, in the fields, or at any suitable location. Hát Đúm has clear and strict rules. The male and female singers are usually of the same age, and they must not use difficult-to-understand words for their singing partners and must not stop midway. Many young couples have gotten married after these romantic and passionate Hát Đúm sessions.
