The sea has entered poetry.
Originally a land with a rich cultural heritage but lacking natural advantages such as "no mountains, no sea," Hung Yen province now, after the merger, has the opportunity to realize its aspiration to "reach out to the open sea" with a coastline of 52-54km (including major river mouths flowing into the East Sea such as Thai Binh, Diem Ho, and Ba Lat estuaries) and a vast marine space (including flat beaches, natural sandbars such as Con Vanh, Con Thu, and the Dong Chau marine ecological tourism area...), bringing advantages for the development of tourism and the marine economy .
By implementing a two-tiered administrative system, Hung Yen is creating a breakthrough in tourism by developing its coastal areas and eco-tourism zones, taking advantage of coastal advantages after the adjustment of administrative boundaries.
Some beaches are already favorite destinations, cultural and recreational spaces, and venues for class reunions and company gatherings, such as Dong Chau beach (Dong Chau commune) and Con Vanh beach (Hung Phu commune). With relatively short distances, convenient driving times, stable infrastructure and transportation, and beautiful scenery, these areas have become popular weekend getaways for many groups from Hanoi , Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and other places.

In particular, Dong Chau beach is one of the famous tourist destinations of the former Thai Binh province, with its simple, rustic beauty that has been immortalized in poetry, music, and art, leaving a lasting impression and enduring vitality over the years.
At Dong Chau beach resort, visitors can stay at several hotels and resorts near the beach, such as New Dong Chau Resort, a spacious resort with a swimming pool, dining services, and entertainment. Other options include Morden Hotel, Le Thanh Hotel, Hoang Le Hotel, Lang Viet Hotel, or Crin House Homestay. These are popular choices, close to the beach and convenient for enjoying seafood.
Bustling "Beach Paradise"
Taking advantage of its kilometers of coastline and riverbanks to develop various types of marine and eco-tourism, right from the time its geographical boundaries were expanded, the province has focused on regional connectivity and strengthening regional linkages, especially in coastal areas, creating "on the water, by the sea" tourism routes, connecting natural beaches such as Con Vanh and Dong Chau.

During the recent April 30th - May 1st holiday, Con Vanh and Dong Chau beaches attracted a large number of locals and tourists for sightseeing and relaxation. Con Vanh beach alone welcomed nearly 50,000 visitors. Con Vanh, a "beach paradise," boasts long stretches of fine sand and abundant mangrove forests, making it an ideal destination for watching the sunrise, enjoying fresh seafood, and experiencing a pristine ecological environment. Therefore, during the summer, the Con Vanh and Dong Chau beach areas are very crowded with tourists, and tourism services such as accommodation, food, shopping, and parking operate at full capacity.
Mr. To Manh Bien, Deputy Director of the Hung Yen Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, said: The best time for tourism at Con Vanh and Dong Chau is summer, from April to September every year. During the recent holiday, the weather was favorable, so tourists flocked to Con Vanh beach in large numbers. The Center prioritizes ensuring the safety of tourists, disseminating information and advising tourists to use life vests, only swim in safe areas, and avoid dangerous zones. Authorities have strengthened management, and despite the large number of visitors, tourism businesses have maintained the quality of their services.
