On the afternoon of August 22nd, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province visited, encouraged, and provided support to 7 households whose houses were destroyed or had their roofs blown off in Phong Thanh Tay A commune, Phuoc Long district.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province has allocated 74 million VND from the Disaster Prevention and Control Support Fund to assist households affected by the disaster on August 19th. This includes one household whose house was completely destroyed, receiving 50 million VND in support.
During his visits, Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province, cordially inquired about and encouraged families affected by natural disasters to overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize their lives. He also urged local authorities to promptly mobilize support forces to help affected households overcome the consequences of the natural disaster and restore their lives to normalcy.
According to the Bac Lieu Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, from the beginning of 2024 to the present, the province has experienced two storms and tornadoes, damaging 16 houses, including 14 with damaged roofs and 2 completely collapsed.
