Convenient
At many fruit shops in Hai Phong city, trays of pre-cut fruit are displayed attractively with many appealing colors. From mangoes, star fruits, pineapples, guavas to rambutan, rose apples, watermelons..., all are cleaned, peeled or cut into bite-sized pieces and packaged in convenient boxes and trays.
In addition to selling beverages, Ms. Luong Thi Ha's shop in Tu Minh ward also provides trays of pre-cut fruits to serve customers. From morning, Ms. Ha is busy preparing orders. Many types of fruits, after being selected, washed, and pre-processed, are arranged in trays for delivery to customers.
Ms. Ha said that the shop provides 30-50 trays of pre-cut fruit daily at a price of 25,000-30,000 VND per tray. Customers are mainly factory workers, laborers in industrial zones, and office workers with limited time.
During conferences, banquets, or large-scale events organized by agencies and businesses, the number of orders increases sharply, with the shop sometimes receiving orders for 100-200 trays per day. The shop prioritizes using seasonal fruits to ensure freshness and reasonable prices.
At this time of year, pomelo, mango, and pineapple are the most popular choices among customers. Many people prefer pre-cut fruits because they can enjoy a variety of fruits in one tray without having to buy and prepare each one separately.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, owner of Thanh Beo Mart in Le Thanh Nghi ward, said that the store offers many kinds of pre-cut and peeled fruits such as pineapple, cantaloupe, rambutan, etc., with prices ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 VND per tray depending on the type.
"Nowadays, customers really appreciate convenience. They can use it immediately after opening the box, so many people order it to take to the office or use after meals. We even provide dipping salt so customers don't have to prepare anything extra," Ms. Thanh said.
Many kinds of pre-cut fruits

More and more stores are selling pre-processed and pre-packaged fruits to increase product value and meet customer demand.
Besides selling directly in stores, many fruit businesses now accept orders via social media and delivery apps. With just a few taps on their phones, customers can choose their favorite fruits and have them delivered to their doorstep, contributing to the increasing popularity and demand for this product.
According to small business owners, online orders currently account for a significant proportion of customers, especially during lunch breaks or late afternoons. Many customers place orders regularly on a weekly basis as part of a healthy eating regimen.
Besides convenience, consumers are increasingly concerned about food safety and hygiene. Businesses are focusing on selecting ingredients with clear origins, ensuring clean processing procedures, careful packaging, and storage at appropriate temperatures to maintain product freshness.
Not only is this product appealing to young people and office workers, but it is also chosen by many families as a daily snack. For busy people with limited time for cooking, buying a tray of pre-cut fruit saves considerable time while still ensuring they get the necessary vitamins and nutrients for their bodies.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan from Hong Bang ward said that previously, whenever she wanted to eat fruit, she had to buy whole fruits and peel them herself, which was time-consuming. Now, she can simply order by phone and receive trays of pre-peeled fruit. "I usually buy them to eat as dessert after dinner. The fruit trays are pre-portioned, which is very convenient, just the right portion, and I don't worry about leftovers or waste," Ms. Lan said.
Pre-cut fruits are gradually becoming a new consumer trend in modern life. Their convenience, variety, and suitability for busy lifestyles have made them increasingly popular. This also reflects a shift in people's shopping habits, prioritizing quick and convenient products for everyday life.
