Artist "De Men" Pham Hai Nguyen was born in 2012 and grew up in Lang Son . No one in his family pursued art, except Nguyen, the only boy - up to now - who has shown a strong passion for abstract painting, after drawing expressionism.
"I want to create works that not only express myself but also leave a special impression on the viewer. Each painting is a story, an emotion that I want to share with art lovers. This exhibition is not only an opportunity for me to express my art, but also a chance to connect with the art-loving community," Nguyen shared.
According to curator Ly Doi: "The unique point in Nguyen's paintings is the skillful combination of images and English writing. The words that appear are not directly explanatory, but like codes, suggestions for viewers to discover the message hidden behind the strokes. This approach makes each painting not only a visual work, but also an open dialogue between the young artist and the audience. Viewers are forced to ponder, ask questions and find answers themselves, thereby connecting emotionally with the work."
Your talent for painting was discovered by your school's art teacher - painter Hoang Van Diem - in the 4th grade. In the summer of 2022, 'De Men 2025 Aspiration' Pham Hai Nguyen officially got acquainted with canvas and acrylic paint at teacher Hoang Van Diem's studio, helping you gain more knowledge about color and composition in fine arts.
With The Dream with His Name , artist Hoang Van Diem commented: "Pham Hai Nguyen's paintings are a creative journey full of personality, where the innocence of childhood blends with modern, abstract artistic thinking. Inspired by the famous painter Picasso, Nguyen freely transforms images into conceptual pieces, breaking traditional rules to create a unique world full of mystery and suggestion."

Talking about the talent of "De Men" Pham Hai Nguyen, artist Thanh Chuong said: "Children today not only have many conditions to watch, to learn, to draw, but most importantly, they can draw whatever they want. In the past or in our time, besides being innocent and pure, children were not allowed to draw whatever they wanted. In this freedom of expression, there were some children who stood out from their peers, drawing with great lines, soul, and steady drawing, which was truly something to be happy about."
