Thirst for creative human resources
According to a report by the Ministry of Information and Communications , Vietnam currently has more than 70,000 businesses operating in the fields of media, advertising, entertainment, design, technology, etc. However, high-quality human resources in the creative industry still cannot meet the demand. Game companies, film studios, media agencies or technology startups are constantly recruiting for graphic design, film editing, VFX, UI/UX design positions, etc., but there are not many candidates who meet the requirements.

This is the reason why the practical training model, focusing on vocational skills, is increasingly attracting the attention of young people. Instead of waiting until graduation to start working, many young people choose to study in parallel with accumulating experience, so that by the age of 20 they can confidently enter the industry.
Project-based learning – early career exposure
In the creative industry, companies increasingly prioritize candidates who can start working immediately rather than just possessing a degree. What they are looking for is a combination of technical skills, practical experience and the ability to work in a team. A young designer applying for a job, if he or she does not have a portfolio, has never participated in a real project or lacks the skills to defend his or her ideas, will have a hard time competing with candidates who are used to deadline pressure and a professional working process.

To meet this need, Arena Multimedia has incorporated project-based learning into the entire training program. Students do not have to spend time on general subjects, but have immediate access to professional design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro or Maya. The learning path is divided into four semesters, linked to four main areas of expertise: graphic design, web and application design, digital filmmaking and 3D design. After each semester, students have a completed product to add to their personal portfolio - an important asset when entering the job market.

The difference of Arena students is that they not only learn software, but also experience real-life career situations: receiving briefs, developing ideas, presenting and editing based on feedback. Each semester is like a real project with deadlines and finished products, helping students practice both hard and soft skills. Thanks to that, Arena students are highly appreciated by businesses because they can "do the job" while still in school.
Start working right from the first or second year
Contrary to the concept of “studying before working”, many training programs today encourage students to participate in freelance projects or internships from the second semester. You can design banners, logos, and promotional videos for small businesses; or work part-time at media companies. Working early not only brings income but also helps practice soft skills: communication, time management, and handling customer requests.

Nguyen Minh Khang, 19 years old, a student at a multimedia art training center in Hanoi, shared: “After just finishing my first year, I have received a number of freelance projects. At first, it was just designing banners for online stores, then I got more customers through referrals. While studying and working, I found myself progressing very quickly and being much more confident than when I only studied theory.”
Many Arena Multimedia students have started earning money from freelancing or have been officially hired even before graduating. From small projects such as designing banners and logos to larger jobs such as video editing or animation, they have proven that with skills and initiative, they can make a living from a very early age. On the JobArena community, students and alumni regularly share jobs and experiences, together creating a network for Gen Z to confidently assert themselves in the creative industry.
Arena Multimedia – A digital art design training address trusted by young people
In Vietnam, Arena Multimedia is known as a pioneer with the “learn fast – work early” model. In just 2 years of study, students are trained in four main areas: graphic design, web & application, digital film and 3D. Many alumni have quickly established their names – some opened their own studios, some became lecturers, some even won international awards. What they have in common is that they all started by studying while working, accumulating experience right from the first days of entering the profession.

Mr. Kallol Mukherjee - Vice President of Aptech Group said: “We want Arena Multimedia students to not only learn skills but also have practical experience early. Therefore, right from the second semester, they are introduced to internships and freelance projects. This is a stepping stone for many young people to become professional designers before the age of 20”.
If you are a recent high school graduate, wondering whether to go to university or start working early, or a student looking to switch to design – Arena Multimedia is where you can start over, in a faster, more practical and more effective way.
