On September 6th, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa City issued Official Document No. 813/PGD regarding the urgent implementation of measures to respond to Typhoon No. 3 of 2024.
Accordingly, the Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa City requested the principals of educational institutions in Thanh Hoa City to immediately implement the following contents: Seriously implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 14/CĐ-TU, dated September 5, 2024, on strengthening leadership and direction in responding to Typhoon No. 3 in 2024; Official Dispatch No. 17/CĐ-UBND, dated September 3, 2024, of the Provincial People's Committee on urgently implementing response to Typhoon No. 3 in 2024; and Official Dispatch No. 4/CĐ-UBND, dated September 6, 2024, of the City People's Committee on urgently implementing response to Typhoon No. 3 in 2024.
Closely monitor the developments of Typhoon No. 3, maintain 24/7 readiness; keep regular contact with relevant authorities and local rescue forces to respond promptly in case of incidents, implementing the "four on-the-spot" principle; promptly disseminate information through the school's mass media so that all staff, teachers, employees, parents, and students are aware and can proactively prevent and respond effectively, resolutely preventing damage caused by negligence.
Develop plans and promptly relocate assets, machinery, equipment, furniture, files, books to safe locations to ensure they are not damaged, broken, or lost, minimizing losses caused by the storm.
The principals of all educational institutions in Thanh Hoa City are instructed to suspend classes and all school activities from Friday afternoon, September 6, 2024, until Sunday, September 8, 2024. Students will return to school as normal on Monday, September 9, 2024. If Typhoon No. 3 develops in a more complex manner, the Department of Education and Training will make further announcements.
The principals of educational institutions prioritize ensuring the absolute safety of students and staff in all situations, and minimizing the impact of the storm on school facilities and personal property. Under no circumstances should there be complacency or negligence.
Assign personnel to be on duty during the storm and ensure smooth communication, regularly reporting to the City Department of Education and Training.
