An Giang urgently prepares for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

On the afternoon of December 9, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc chaired a working session with departments, branches and localities to approve the plan to organize inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for large-scale and meaningful projects and works to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party in the province.

The inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of large-scale and meaningful projects and works to welcome the 14th National Party Congress will be held simultaneously nationwide on December 19, 2025.

An Giang province plans to start construction of 5 projects, including: Urban metro line project, section 1 (PPP form, BOT contract); investment component project to build the Suoi Lon Lake Resettlement Area; Cua Can resettlement area project; Duong Dong 2 lake investment project; building a roof to preserve archaeological pits of the Oc Eo - Ba The Relic Site.

In addition, the province organized the technical opening ceremony of component project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction investment project phase 1. In which, Phu Quoc will be one of the points planned by the Central Government to select for live recording.

Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized that the organization of inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for large-scale projects and works, meaningful to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party in the province as well as works and projects across the country is an important political event. Therefore, departments, branches and sectors coordinate, strengthen propaganda, widely introduce the significance of works and projects to create consensus and excitement among cadres, party members and people.
