The LeX program was initiated by SP in 2011 and has been embraced by many prestigious training institutions in the ASEAN region, including the active participation of DUT. This year, the LeX program will take place from April 1-12, 2025, with the participation of 2 lecturers and 29 SP students, along with 29 DUT students.
Over the course of 12 days, students from both universities participated in learning and activities together, engaging in Vietnamese-English cultural exchange; they also conducted surveys and research to implement joint projects in traditional rice paper and vegetable villages in Hoa Vang district (Da Nang city).
Applying design thinking and practicing teamwork, students from both schools participated in analyzing, critiquing, and evaluating problems and solving real-world community issues. Under the guidance of experienced lecturers, students developed reasonable and highly applicable solutions.
This is a dynamic learning environment that allows students to access new technologies and expand their opportunities to commercialize their research products and results. The project also provides an opportunity for DUT students to integrate into the academic environment, interact with international students, and contribute to building the LeX community in the ASEAN region.
Students from the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Training (VNUK), University of Da Nang, and 40 students from Northern Europe recently completed a 10-week experience in the Kulturstudier program. This is a research, cultural, and academic exchange program sponsored by Kulturstudier, an organization from Oslo, Norway, for Northern European students to study and experience in several countries, including Vietnam, where VNUK was selected as a partner.
Participating in the program, international students and VNUK students learned about the history, business philosophy, production processes, and development direction of reputable businesses such as Heineken Danang and Cortex Vietnam Garment Company in Da Nang… From there, they related and applied the knowledge they had learned to the practical realities of businesses in Vietnam.
In particular, Kulturstudier students and VNUK students had the opportunity to visit and experience the culture of the Co Tu ethnic community in Dong Giang district ( Quang Nam province). The program left unforgettable impressions on international students about the dynamic, beautiful, and hospitable city of Da Nang; and at the same time affirmed the prestige and academic reputation of VNUK in its mission to bridge academic and cultural gaps.
