Participating in the Dien Bien Spring Press Festival 2024 are 10 exhibition booths from agencies with press publications and printed materials, including: Dien Bien Phu Newspaper; Dien Bien Phu Provincial Radio and Television Station; Provincial Journalists Association; Provincial Literature and Arts Association; central press agencies with offices in Dien Bien province; provincial publishing agencies, Vietnam News Agency, Provincial Culture and Film Center, Provincial Library and one booth displaying, introducing and selling OCOP products of Dien Bien province.
The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon (Giáp Thìn) is a gathering place for newspapers, magazines, journals, and special Spring/Tet editions from central ministries, departments, and agencies; newspapers from provinces and cities nationwide; and newspapers from the province itself, serving cadres, soldiers, and people of all walks of life who come to celebrate the spring, visit, and read newspapers. Through the information in these publications, visitors learn more about the achievements of national and provincial reforms. This is also a festival for journalists, showcasing the powerful force of revolutionary journalism, summarizing the achievements of a year of national construction and development, protecting the Fatherland, and outlining plans for the new development phase of the province in particular and the country in general.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Tien acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the province's journalists in the past period. He affirmed that this year's Spring Press Festival not only meets the information needs of the public and readers but also serves as a meaningful destination for press, radio, television, literary and artistic agencies and journalists in the province to meet, interact, exchange experiences, and listen to opinions from a wide audience, thereby continuing to improve and produce more high-quality and meaningful works. This is an opportunity to commend and honor the contributions of press agencies, journalists, journalist association members, and artists who have dedicated themselves to their profession and to the development of their homeland and country.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed confidence that the press agencies will continuously innovate, create, and improve the quality of both the content and form of their publications. The province's journalists will always adhere to the Party's guidelines and policies, the province's socio -economic development program, be dedicated to their profession, stay close to the grassroots and real-life situations, and constantly seek and create to produce more high-quality journalistic works, win more awards, and contribute to spreading positive values, building trust, and fostering high levels of consensus in society…
With the theme "Building a professional, humane, and modern press," the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024, held from January 31st to February 1st, served readers who came to visit and read various press publications.
Also at the opening ceremony, the Provincial Journalists Association presented a number of Spring newspaper publications to officers and soldiers of Regiment 82, Division 355, to spread information through the press to military units.
