The 20th Conference of the Lai Chau City Party Executive Committee (expanded)

(BLC) - On June 26, the Executive Committee of the Lai Chau City Party Committee, term IV, 2020 - 2025, held the 20th (expanded) conference to evaluate the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year, discuss solutions for the last 6 months of 2023 and approve a number of other important contents.

Comrades: Tong Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee; Dang Quang Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Nghiep - Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrades of the City Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the City People's Committee, departments, offices, units and People's Committees of wards and communes of the city.

In the first 6 months of 2023, commercial activities, industrial production, and handicrafts in the city all had a good growth compared to 2022; focusing on solving problems at Doan Ket market and Thuy Son Lake. In particular, the opening of Hoang Dieu walking street has created consensus and response from the people and attracted many tourists to visit; the number of tourists to the city is 107,030, reaching 71% of the plan...

At the conference, delegates approved the following contents: Report on the 3-year review of the implementation of Conclusion No. 112/KL-ThuU dated November 20, 2019 of the City Party Committee on continuing to implement Resolution No. 10-NQ/ThuU on branches and Party committees under the City Party Committee to help villages and residential groups develop in the period 2020 - 2025. Plans of the City Party Committee to implement the action program of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee on: continuing to innovate and improve the efficiency of the collective economy in the new period; on agriculture, farmers and rural areas to 2030 with a vision to 2045; perfecting policy institutions, improving the effectiveness of land management and use to create momentum to turn our country into a high-income developed country; Action program of the City Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Delegates contributed opinions to the reports of the City People's Committee submitted to the 11th session of the City People's Council, term IV, 2021 - 2026; implementing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing tasks: Party building and development; low budget revenue; progress of public investment disbursement; resolving difficulties in site clearance of a number of projects; traffic accidents increased compared to the same period in 2022, the phenomenon of weaving, weaving, and wheelies on motorbikes still occurred.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Tong Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee suggested that in the last 6 months of the year, it is necessary to review the low achievement criteria to have a solution. Complete the adjustment of the land use planning until 2030 of Lai Chau city. Carry out the relocation of Doan Ket Primary School to a new location.
