NDO - On October 25th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences (China), organized the international scientific conference "Ho Chi Minh - For a World of Peace , Friendship and Development".
The event took place precisely on the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival in Guangzhou, China (November 11, 1924 - November 11, 2024). This is considered a significant historical milestone in his revolutionary life because in Guangzhou, President Ho Chi Minh not only broadened his international horizons but also met with pioneering revolutionaries, laying the ideological foundation for the national liberation movement in Vietnam.
Thanks to this connection, President Ho Chi Minh's ideology has continuously spread and inspired many national liberation movements around the world , from Asia to Africa and Latin America.
In his opening remarks at the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu, Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that the workshop provides a forum for researchers to exchange ideas in order to further clarify, apply, and creatively develop the values of Ho Chi Minh's thought in the contemporary world context.

At the same time, it expresses respect and affirms the immense contributions of the thoughts and work of President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero and world cultural figure - to peace, solidarity, friendship, and development of humanity.
The conference received over 90 papers from scientists, experts, and researchers both domestically and internationally, covering a wide range of topics such as: Ho Chi Minh - A symbol of a culture of peace; the distinctive features of Ho Chi Minh's thought on peace, friendship, and global development; Ho Chi Minh's ideology of peaceful diplomacy and friendship among nations…
"These diverse topics not only reflect the deep interest of the academic community but also reaffirm the contemporary value of Ho Chi Minh's thought in addressing current global issues," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu stated.

The seminar was organized with two main working sessions on the topics: “Ho Chi Minh's thought on peace, international solidarity and national strength” and “Ho Chi Minh's legacy in international relations, peace and progressive values”.
Domestic and international scholars have focused on exchanging and discussing, further clarifying the value, application, and creative development of President Ho Chi Minh's thought in the current new era, applying his thought to proposing practical solutions to the challenges the world is facing…
