Scientific workshop on innovation in teaching philosophy and Ho Chi Minh's thought

On April 19, Cuu Long University organized a national scientific conference with the theme "Innovation in teaching and learning Marxist-Leninist subjects and Ho Chi Minh thought in Vietnamese universities today".

Attending the workshop were Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee; leaders of political schools of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and about 110 scientists who are leading experts in Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu, President of Cuu Long University, said that the conference is of great significance in realizing the goals of the national education system, aiming at comprehensively developing Vietnamese people with ethics, knowledge, culture, health, aesthetics and profession; having qualities, abilities and civic consciousness; having patriotism, national spirit, loyalty to the ideals of national independence and socialism; promoting the potential and creativity of each individual; improving people's knowledge, developing human resources, nurturing talents, meeting the requirements of the cause of building, defending the Fatherland and international integration.

Thereby affirming the importance, scientific value and vitality of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the research, application and development of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought in the new situation; solutions to improve the quality of the teaching staff of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought.

The conference received 195 articles from 230 authors who are scientists; leaders, lecturers of universities, colleges, academies and local political schools. At the conference, there were 10 direct presentations and many practical and dedicated contributions from experts in the field of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh thought.

The workshop aims to create opportunities for exchanging and connecting knowledge between scientists in the field of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought. In particular, in the context of globalization and international integration, research and teaching of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought are among the key tasks of ideological and professional work at universities in Vietnam.
