Specifically, over 2.85 million subscribers (74.21%) underwent standardization (in 3 phases: after receiving notification (from March 15th to March 31st), after being blocked one-way (from March 31st), and after being blocked two-way (from April 15th).

However, over 985,000 subscribers (25.79%) who had not yet completed the standardization process as announced have had their contracts terminated, telecommunications services discontinued, and their subscriber numbers revoked. For these revoked numbers, telecommunications companies will reclaim them and provide them to other individuals and organizations in need, in accordance with regulations (Clause h, Point 8, Article 1 of Decree 49/2017/ND-CP).

The above results are due to users' increased awareness of the importance of using a registered phone number with complete and accurate personal information, especially now that the mobile phone has become an indispensable tool in daily life.

In particular, the coordinated efforts of businesses in implementing notification measures (texting, calling, sending staff to meet directly with each subscriber group) and standardization (in-person and online) are crucial.

In addition, with the support and agreement of press and media agencies, from March 15th to May 15th, they regularly published news articles and guided users on the standardization process.

In the coming period, along with continuing to direct and urge businesses to continue cross-checking with the national population database and standardizing subscriber information, the Ministry of Information and Communications will focus on conducting widespread inspections of subscriber information management by mobile telecommunications businesses (currently being implemented from April to June 2023), and strictly handle cases of violations (especially those involving groups of subscribers using or owning multiple SIM cards/documents (>=10 SIM cards/documents)).

At the same time, the Ministry of Information and Communications recommends that users raise their awareness and refrain from using or assisting in the buying and selling of SIM cards that do not comply with regulations on the market. Furthermore, if they discover that their current mobile SIM card has incorrect information (by sending a text message "TTTB" to 1414 - completely free), they should proactively contact the customer service number of the mobile company to update the information, thereby protecting their own rights and contributing to reducing spam messages and calls.
