As Thanh Nien newspaper reported, at around 3:40 AM on the same day (December 3rd), residents discovered a fire breaking out inside Khe Tre Market (Nam Dong District), engulfing the stalls inside the market.

Upon receiving the report, nearly 200 officers and soldiers from the fire department, the police of Nam Dong district, and 9 specialized vehicles arrived at the scene, working alongside local residents to extinguish the fire and assist traders in evacuating their goods. However, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire market, making access to the scene very difficult.
