Over 400,000 visitors participated in the Vietnam-Japan Festival 2026.

On the evening of March 8th, the 11th Vietnam-Japan Festival in Ho Chi Minh City concluded, leaving many positive impressions on the people of both countries and international friends. This year's festival offered visitors a variety of experiences at 300 booths showcasing Vietnamese and Japanese trade, food, and tourism.

The organizers of the Vietnam-Japan Festival 2026 announced that during the two days of March 7th and 8th, the festival attracted more than 400,000 visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, as well as domestic and international tourists.

This year's festival featured approximately 160 participating units and 300 booths, along with around 45 stage performers and many unique activities in separate areas. As a result, hundreds of thousands of visitors were immersed in a vibrant cultural space, a convergence of culinary excellence, music , fashion, sports, and art, from traditional to modern, from Vietnam and Japan.

The Vietnam-Japan Festival contributes to promoting the image of both countries.

Mr. Pham Dut Diem, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, said that this year's festival has become a brilliant "symphony" of two cultures, a large-scale and rich cultural exchange event, eagerly awaited by the people of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the people of Vietnam and Japan in general.

According to the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, the vibrant space for trade, cuisine , culture, and tourism exchange has contributed to promoting the image of both countries, while also opening up many practical opportunities for connection between the business communities and people of both nations. Ms. Hashimoto Seiko stated that this year's festival, with its many unique activities, has created a rich space for exchange between Vietnam and Japan in various fields such as culture, sports, and business.

Ms. Hashimoto Seiko, a member of the Senate and head of the organizing committee for the Vietnam-Japan Festival (on the Japanese side), stated that through diverse programs such as cycling, skateboarding, street sports, traditional culture, music, and performing arts, this year's festival has helped bring the people of the two countries closer together and strengthen deep exchanges.

"I believe that through this event, mutual understanding between the two countries has been further strengthened, and the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to develop strongly. I hope that the Vietnam-Japan Festival will continue to develop further in the future and that exchanges between the two countries will become even deeper," said Ms. Hashimoto Seiko.
