In addition to the addition of new colors and decals, the 2023 Africa Twin also has some changes compared to the old version. Specifically, the 2023 Standard Africa Twin is equipped with an additional black bracket for easy attachment of a storage box or luggage. Meanwhile, the 2023 Africa Twin Adventure Sports has an improved, shorter 5-speed adjustable windshield and some improvements in the DCT gearbox software.
The design DNA of the old version is still maintained on the 2023 Africa Twin. The vehicle uses dual LED headlights, integrated with DRL daytime running lights that change brightness according to ambient conditions. The lighting system has a cornering light function, automatically adjusting the beam angle and light intensity according to speed, turning direction... While the instrument cluster is still a 6.5-inch TFT that can be customized according to the driver's needs.

Meanwhile, in terms of power, the 2023 Africa Twin still uses a 2-cylinder engine with a total capacity of 1,084cc, using a single cam Uni-cam structure. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 75kW at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 105Nm at 6,250 rpm, meeting Euro 5 emission standards. The vehicle is also equipped with Exhaust Control Valve (ECV).
The engine continues to benefit from the support of a state-of-the-art electronic support system controlled and monitored via a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) including: electronic throttle (TBW) integrated with cruise control, torque control (HSTC), anti-lock braking (ABS) in corners, head-lift control and tail-lift control. The vehicle has 6 driving modes: 4 modes with pre-set parameters including Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-road, along with 2 modes that allow the driver to set up: engine power, engine braking force and ABS mode depending on actual operating conditions.
The Adventure Sports version is equipped with a 6-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission, providing intelligent gear selection according to speed, vehicle tilt and road surface tilt, reducing operations and helping the driver focus more on enjoying the journey. In the 2023 generation, the DCT transmission control software has been refined to make the operation and engine control in 1st and 2nd gears smoother than ever.
Africa Twin 2023 will officially hit shelves on February 15.
