Reunion of former People's Police officers of the province

On the afternoon of April 25th, the An Giang Provincial Police Department held a gathering of former police officers who participated in the revolution before April 30th, 1975, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Leaders from the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Police Department from various periods, representatives from professional units, and 100 youth union members and members of the Provincial Association of Former Police Officers attended.

At the gathering, Colonel Phan Quang Diem (former Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Chairman of the Provincial Association of Former People's Police Officers) reviewed the glorious historical traditions of the nation and the activities of the association. Accordingly, the Provincial Association of Former People's Police Officers has many comrades who, undeterred by difficulties and hardships, accepted sacrifices to participate in the revolutionary forces and armed revolutionary forces to liberate the nation, win independence and freedom for the country, and achieve the Great Victory of Spring 1975, opening a new chapter in the nation's history. At the gathering, comrades who had participated in the revolution before April 30, 1975, shared and reminisced about the journeys they had taken in carrying out their duties, the hardships and sacrifices they had made during the resistance war against the US and for national salvation…

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors, Colonel Lam Phuoc Nguyen, Director of the Provincial Police Department, extended greetings and best wishes for good health to the delegates and the families of fallen police officers, and expressed deep gratitude and respect for the immense, persistent, and silent sacrifices and contributions of these comrades for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

At the same time, it was expressed that members of the Association of Former People's Police Officers would continue to contribute ideas to help the An Giang police force uphold its glorious heroic traditions, continue to study and follow the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh , effectively implement the movement "People's Police studying and implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho" and other emulation movements "For the security of the Fatherland," contributing to encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to strive and excellently fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the People.

On this occasion, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police Department presented gifts to former police officers of the province.
