Yen Bai is ready for cultural and tourism activities during the April 30th holiday.

Specifically for the April 30th - May 1st holiday this year, Yen Bai province organized approximately 40 activities and events to serve tourism. These included the "Sparkling Circle Dance" competition in Nghia Lo town; water sports activities at the Thac Ba Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Company's eco-tourism site and activities exploring the scenic Thac Ba Lake; and paragliding experiences, a local market, and cultural performances every Saturday evening in Mu Cang Chai district.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also requested units to review, inspect, and implement several measures to ensure security, order, and traffic safety. At the same time, the Department has directed localities to proactively develop plans, allocate sufficient personnel, facilities, food, and other necessary conditions to serve tourists; strictly enforce regulations on price listing and selling at the listed price, without increasing prices, overcharging, or soliciting customers. Tourist destinations and cultural villages in the highland districts are preparing cultural and artistic activities and folk games to serve tourists.

Mr. Tran Trung Kien, Deputy Head of the Culture, Science and Information Department of Mu Cang Chai District, said: "The department has advised the district to organize cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism activities before, during, and after the holiday; prioritizing activities that offer experiences of local culture and increase interaction and exchange with tourists. At the same time, the district is strengthening the promotion of tourist areas, resorts, accommodation facilities, and homestays, proactively improving the landscape, ensuring infrastructure and human resources, and developing plans to organize more activities to better serve tourists, such as music nights, bonfires, building scenic spots and check-in points... in order to create new products and improve service quality.”

This year's April 30th and May 1st holiday lasts for five days, so many resorts and homestays in the province were fully booked by the end of April. Accommodation establishments proactively renovated their grounds, repaired rooms, and prepared food supplies well in advance, making systematic investments to meet the increasingly high standards of tourists. Local performing arts groups also prepared their best performances to engage in cultural exchange activities with visitors.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha's family, residing in Yen Ninh ward, Yen Bai city, recently took a trip with friends to Son Thinh town, Van Chan district. Being someone who loves exploring new places, Ms. Ha never imagined that a short trip within the province, just over an hour's drive from her home, could be so enjoyable and relaxing.

Ms. Ha shared: "Our group consisted of 5 families, including children, nearly 20 people in total. We chose Giap Hoai Homestay as our accommodation. This homestay has clean rooms, a hot spring swimming pool, and the owners are very enthusiastic and hospitable. Afterwards, we also experienced plum picking, explored the culture and cuisine of the Thai-Muong Lo people in Nghia Lo, and went to Lau Camping in Phinh Ho to chase clouds... A 2-day, 1-night trip that combined relaxation and experiential activities for the children cost only 2 million VND per family of 4, which was very reasonable. Before, I thought that you had to travel far to be considered a vacation, but now I feel that this is not just a simple trip but also a valuable experience, helping the children to love and be proud of their homeland even more.”

Mr. Lo Van Giap, owner of Giap Hoai Homestay, shared: "Homestays are always busy on weekends. Especially during holidays, there are more guests, and their stays are longer. Besides preparing clean and beautiful accommodations, I don't increase room prices, I focus on the quality of food and drinks, and I regularly change the water and clean the swimming pool, leaving a good impression on tourists."

The meticulous preparation of over 560 accommodation establishments and nearly 40 tourism activities and events in various localities has attracted a large number of tourists to Yen Bai, contributing to enhancing the province's position on the domestic tourism map and creating momentum for a vibrant summer tourism season ahead.
