Tien Yen District: Building a clean and strong Party

Over the past period, the Tien Yen District Party Committee has consistently focused on innovating and creating new content and methods of leadership, proactively overcoming shortcomings and limitations to improve the quality of Party building and the political system from the district to the grassroots level, meeting the requirements of Party building in the new situation.

The Party Committee of Tien Yen district is thoroughly implementing Resolution No. 31 of the Provincial Party Committee.

Pay attention to every detail.

The Tien Yen District Party Committee currently has 29 grassroots Party branches and committees, 190 subordinate Party branches with over 3,000 Party members. Most Party members possess strong political convictions and good moral character; they are determined, highly responsible to the Party, exemplary, united, and confident in the Party's policies and guidelines, as well as the State's laws and regulations, and successfully fulfill their duties.

To cultivate a loyal and dedicated Party membership committed to serving the nation and the people, Tien Yen district prioritizes political and ideological work and maintaining unity within the Party. Party committees at all levels consistently focus on improving the quality and innovating branch activities; emphasizing the evaluation and classification of the quality of grassroots Party organizations and members; and concretizing criteria in a practical manner, closely aligned with the requirements of political tasks and Party building work.

The implementation of Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (12th Congress) on strengthening Party building and rectification, preventing and repelling the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and the manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party has been carried out decisively and effectively in Tien Yen district. Party committees and organizations at all levels have focused on leading and directing the implementation of the tasks and solutions outlined in the resolution, especially organizing self-criticism and criticism sessions with a frank and serious spirit.

In addition, the District Party Committee has focused on effectively implementing Resolution No. 35 of 2018 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation. To date, the district has 8 fanpages; communes and towns have 55 fanpages. The entire district also has 18 fanpages of Party branches and agencies, and 76 propaganda addresses in 76 villages and neighborhoods.

In particular, the Party Committee has effectively implemented Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, in conjunction with the implementation of regulations on exemplary conduct by cadres and Party members. This has gradually deepened and become a regular activity of Party organizations, agencies, units, and individuals. As a result, many innovative approaches, exemplary models, and practical actions have emerged, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the political tasks of agencies, units, and localities.

Focus on building and strengthening the Party, and streamlining the apparatus.

The Party building and political system development work in Tien Yen district has been comprehensively implemented in all aspects: political, ideological, and ethical. In 2024, the district Party Committee developed 129 new Party members, exceeding the target by 0.85%. 87 leading and managerial cadres in departments, units, mass organizations, and communes and towns were reorganized and consolidated. The planning of 449 leading cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the District Party Committee was reviewed.

The Tien Yen Party Committee focuses on developing new Party members.

The district of Tien Yen places special emphasis on inspection, supervision, and party discipline, resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption, negative phenomena, and waste; and strictly handling cadres and party members who violate regulations. In 2024, the district organized and conducted 513 inspections and supervisions, an increase of 60 inspections, or 116.6% compared to 2023; disciplined 26 cadres and party members who violated regulations, and suspended the party membership of 1 party member who violated the law. In particular, the district implemented transparency in personnel organization; land management and use, compensation for land clearance; and management and use of budget and public assets. In 2024, 4 inspections were conducted, resulting in recommendations to recover nearly 1 billion VND, other economic sanctions totaling 230 million VND; and reviews and lessons learned were conducted for 20 collectives and 58 individuals.

Specifically, to streamline the organizational structure and improve efficiency, in 2024, the district implemented the merger of the Party Branches of Dong Ngu I Primary School and Dong Ngu II Primary School into the Party Branch of Dong Ngu Primary School; and established the Party Committee of Tien Yen Secondary and High School by merging Tien Yen Town Secondary School into Tien Yen High School to form Tien Yen Secondary and High School. Recently, the district established Party Committees and consolidated subordinate agencies. Accordingly, the Party Committees of the district's Party agencies and the Party Committee of the District People's Committee were established. The District Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department were merged and renamed the District Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

According to Nguyen Chi Thanh, Secretary of the Tien Yen District Party Committee: To continue building a clean and strong Party, the Tien Yen District Party Committee is focusing on preparing and successfully organizing the congresses of grassroots Party branches and the 26th District Party Congress, term 2025-2030. We will strengthen Party building, improve the quality of cadres and Party members. We will continue to prioritize political and ideological work, self-criticism and criticism, and strictly implement Party resolutions. At the same time, we will build a culture within the Party and state agencies, ensuring the exemplary conduct of leaders. We will continue to develop Party members, especially young members in schools and in the non-state enterprise sector. We will build a team of leaders and managers with sufficient qualities, capabilities, and prestige to meet the development requirements of the locality. Alongside this, we will continue to innovate and reorganize the organizational structure towards a streamlined, effective, and efficient model. Strengthen inspection and supervision, especially in areas prone to misconduct. This aims to promptly detect and handle violations, ensuring discipline and order within the Party.

Building a clean and strong Party has contributed to consolidating the people's trust in the Party's leadership, and at the same time, serves as the basis and driving force for the socio-economic development of Tien Yen district to make breakthroughs, leading to sustainable development in the new phase, thereby achieving the goal of re-establishing the town before 2027.
