In a statement posted on social media on April 5, the IRGC navy said it was finalizing operational plans related to a “new order” in the Persian Gulf region, following guidance previously announced by the Iranian government.
The IRGC warned that the situation in the strait “will never be the same again,” especially for the US and Israel.

The statement came after US President Donald Trump reiterated the possibility of attacking Iranian power plants and bridges if the strategic shipping lane was not reopened.
Since the conflict began on February 28, Iran has allowed only limited passage through the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting the shipment of approximately 20% of the world's oil and gas supply.
On the same day, April 5th, Oman's state news agency reported that Iran and Oman had held talks to ease restrictions on traffic through the waterway, even though the strait remains closed due to the ongoing conflict.
In recent weeks, some Iranian lawmakers have also proposed imposing fees and taxes on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
