According to Nate , FIFA has just released a promotional poster for the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America, scheduled to take place from December 6-12, featuring images representing the 42 participating teams.
BTS's Jungkook appears on a World Cup poster.
In the first poster, South Korea is represented by Son Heung-min, alongside global superstars such as Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Lionel Messi, and others.
However, the face representing Portugal was not Cristiano Ronaldo, but Bruno Fernandes, which caused a strong reaction from Ronaldo's fans.
FIFA later removed this poster and released a new version, featuring highlights from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Ronaldo reappeared, while the South Korean team's image was replaced with a team photo after their victory.
However, the new version places Messi holding the trophy in the center, giving the impression of a victory celebration poster, further angering Ronaldo's fans.
