Kate Winslet has no qualms about discussing the iconic scene in the blockbuster Titanic where her character kisses Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
An iconic scene from the movie Titanic.
The two stood in front of the famous ship to film the scene that captured millions of hearts. Kate told Vanity Fair in an interview published this week that the kiss was "a real nightmare."
"My God, Leonardo is such a romantic. No wonder every young girl in the world wants to kiss Leonardo DiCaprio," Kate Winslet asserted.
The 48-year-old British actress said that there were several factors that made the scene complicated to film, mainly the fact that she was tasked with adjusting the makeup for both herself and DiCaprio during the scenes, as the film crew couldn't easily do it themselves.

"So we kept kissing… and eventually I looked like I had a caramel bar in my mouth after each kiss because his makeup was ruined," she recalled.
In fact, Kate Winslet described the scene as a "nightmare" because DiCaprio "couldn't stop laughing" and she "couldn't breathe in the tight corset."
The scene of the Titanic sinking made a strong impression on viewers.
The classic film directed by James Cameron in 1997 became one of the most beloved and successful films of all time, grossing $2.26 billion worldwide with a production budget of only $200 million. In the film, Kate Winslet played Rose DeWitt Bukater, and Leonardo DiCaprio played Jack Dawson, both aboard the ill-fated Titanic.
