Connecting Laos tourism in Da Nang

Attending the program were the Consul General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Da Nang and more than 40 representatives of travel and tourism companies from localities of Laos and Da Nang city.

The program was organized within the framework of a working trip of the Lao tourism delegation to attend the 2024 East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair (EWEC 2024) in Da Nang.

According to the Director of the Lao Tourism Promotion Department - Khom Douangchangtha, this Laos tourism connection program in Da Nang is an important event to promote the development of tourism between Laos and Vietnam, and is an opportunity for tourism businesses of both sides to meet, exchange, and establish business partners for tourism products with each other.

A representative of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that in the first 7 months of 2024, the number of Lao tourists to Da Nang was about 17,000 (86% compared to the whole year of 2023). In the coming time, Southeast Asian countries, including Laos, are a potential market in Da Nang's plan to restore and increase tourist exchanges.

Within the framework of the program, tourism businesses from Laos and Da Nang had the opportunity to approach, exchange, and introduce tourism information and services in the B2B space, promoting bilateral exchange of guests between the two sides.
