Connecting Laos tourism in Da Nang

The program was attended by the Consul General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Da Nang, along with more than 40 representatives from travel and tourism companies from various localities in Laos and Da Nang city.

The program was organized within the framework of the Lao tourism delegation's visit to attend the Da Nang East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair 2024 (EWEC 2024).

According to Khom Douangchangtha, Director of the Lao Tourism Promotion Department, this Lao tourism networking program in Da Nang is an important event aimed at promoting the development of tourism between Laos and Vietnam. It is an opportunity for tourism businesses from both sides to meet, exchange ideas, and establish business partnerships for tourism products.

According to a representative from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the first seven months of 2024, the number of Lao tourists visiting Da Nang was approximately over 17,000 (reaching 86% of the total for 2023). In the future, Southeast Asian countries, including Laos, are a potential market in Da Nang's plan to restore and enhance tourist exchanges.

Within the framework of the program, tourism businesses from localities in Laos and Da Nang had the opportunity to access, exchange, and introduce tourism information and services in a B2B format, promoting bilateral tourist exchanges between the two sides.
