Tuyen Quang boasts over 650 historical and cultural relics. In addition, blessed with majestic natural landscapes, numerous caves, and beautiful waterfalls, Tuyen Quang is considered a province with great potential for tourism development, especially cultural-historical tourism, resort tourism, and ecotourism. The province has made many innovations in its thinking and approach to attract tourists, implementing many programs and events to develop tourism. At the same time, it is gradually establishing its brand on the Vietnamese tourism map.
In 2023 alone, Tuyen Quang's tourism sector attracted 2.65 million visitors, reaching 106% of the plan and increasing by 12% compared to the same period. Social revenue from tourism reached over 3,200 billion VND, achieving 107% of the plan and increasing by 29% compared to the same period.

Continuing to promote trade and tourism connections, Tuyen Quang is ready for the opening ceremony of the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024. Many activities will be implemented by the province, including: exhibitions and introductions of Tuyen Quang tourism products and traditional crafts; the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2024; a conference connecting investment, trade, tourism, and traditional crafts in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang; and many other sports , cultural, and artistic activities. A highlight this year is the launch of a unique tourism product themed "My Lam Hot Springs - A Miraculous Source of Spring".
To serve tourists visiting Tuyen Quang, hot spring bathing establishments in My Lam ward (Tuyen Quang city) have prepared facilities, rooms, and staff to serve tourist groups during the holiday. They are ensuring that visitors can experience the most relaxing and enjoyable hot spring bathing services.
Regarding businesses producing tourism products, OCOP products have been prepared with guaranteed quality and attractive designs. Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Director of Ngan Son Trung Long Tea Cooperative (Son Duong), said: "Learning from previous years, in addition to preparing high-quality tea ingredients, this year I am focusing on packaging the tea products to make them beautiful and eye-catching. At the same time, we are also packaging a variety of smaller tea boxes so that tourists can easily choose different OCOP products to create OCOP gift baskets for giving away."
Ms. Ban Thi Lien, Director of Tue Tam Herbal Company, is actively preparing products made from herbs that have established brands and have been trusted by consumers for many years, such as Tue Tam Liver Tonic (OCOP 4-star rating), Tue Tam Bone and Bone Supplement, and Tue Tam Polygonum Multiflorum (OCOP 3-star rating). This year, she is introducing a new product: Cat Sam Syrup for Lung Health, suitable for children from 1 year old and adults. This product uses ingredients from Cat Sam plants that the company cultivates and harvests in partnership with local people in Tuyen Quang province. The new product, launched in 2024, has initially received positive feedback from consumers.
Creating a focal point for development
According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Investment Promotion Center, the 2024 Tuyen Quang Tourism and Traditional Craft Village Exhibition and Introduction Program will feature over 100 booths as part of the activities celebrating the opening of the Tourism Year. This is an opportunity to promote investment, trade, tourism, and the buying and selling of tourism products and traditional crafts from localities nationwide. This will stimulate consumer demand, help producers and facilitate the distribution of goods, alleviate difficulties in product sales, and simultaneously understand customer needs and preferences to improve product quality and develop new products.
In addition, the province organized a conference to connect investment, trade, tourism, and traditional crafts in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Tuyen Quang. At the conference, agreements on investment, trade, tourism, and traditional crafts will be signed between Tuyen Quang province and trade centers representing the North, Central, and South regions; and an agreement on cooperation in developing tourism products will be signed between Tuyen Quang province and the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club.
Visitors to Tan Trao (Son Duong) during this time, in addition to visiting historical sites, can also participate in many hands-on activities. Tourists can take photos at check-in points, participate in tourism services such as rafting and listening to Then singing on Na Nua Lake; check in at the forests of Viet Bac; visit centuries-old trees; experience the "former war zone" route; and experience making and enjoying ethnic dishes at Tan Lap Cultural and Tourism Village, such as ant egg cakes, grilled river fish, bamboo rice, pounding sticky rice cakes, and making five-colored sticky rice…
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tien, a tourist from Lam Dong province, shared: In 2018, he visited Tuyen Quang to see relatives and was taken on a tour of Na Hang ecological lake and My Lam hot springs… However, at that time, tourism activities in the province were not very vibrant, and services were rudimentary. In 2023, he had the opportunity to return again and was very surprised by the tourism activities and tours in the province. The province organized more activities, in a more organized manner, and the number of tourists visiting Tuyen Quang increased significantly. This year, he plans to bring his wife and children to Tuyen Quang during the holiday, coinciding with the opening of the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024, and to enjoy the Shan Tuyet tea in Na Hang.
Visitors to Tuyen Quang during this period can also participate in activities celebrating the opening of the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 in all districts and cities, such as: Lam Binh district organizing a folk song and dance festival associated with community tourism, and a weekly Saturday night market in Lang Can town; Na Hang district organizing the Na Hang Shan Tuyet Tea Festival associated with the Na Hang district ethnic cuisine competition, and a summer camp festival associated with eco-tourism exploration in the forest; Chiem Hoa district organizing a folk song and dance club festival of ethnic groups, and the Ethnic Culture Festival in Trung Ha commune…
To achieve the target of welcoming over 3 million tourists by 2025 and generating over 4,800 billion VND in tourism revenue, the province will continue to coordinate and guide districts and cities in building cultural villages linked to tourism development, creating unique and attractive tourism products to attract tourists; and strengthening linkages with key tourism provinces... Thereby maximizing the exploitation of existing potential and advantages, so that tourism contributes more to the province's economic growth rate.
