International passenger numbers surpassed 2019 peak.

According to Noi Bai International Airport, during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon, the volume of international passengers passing through Noi Bai airport recorded a significant increase, especially in the past few days.

According to statistics, the busiest day saw 233 international flights, with nearly 38,000 passengers arriving and departing on international flights through Noi Bai Airport, surpassing the highest day of 2019 (37,000 passengers).

Over the past week, Noi Bai Airport averaged 531 flights per day (an 8.8% increase compared to the previous week); and nearly 94,100 passengers per day (a 19.8% increase compared to the previous week).

The number of international visitors alone increased by 14.7% compared to the previous week (averaging nearly 36,000 visitors per day), surpassing the peak of Tet in 2019 (34,000 visitors per day).

In recent days, Noi Bai Airport has observed particularly high concentrations of international passengers and their families in public areas and check-in zones, especially between 8 PM and midnight. Authorities have had to make strenuous efforts to ensure security, order, and smooth passenger flow.

Due to the high volume of passengers, those flying international flights through Noi Bai Airport during this period need to pay close attention to ensure that all airline procedures are completed promptly, avoiding delays or missed flights.

Passengers should note that they need to arrive at least 3 hours before departure time. After successfully checking in, they should quickly move to the restricted area to complete the remaining procedures.

Passengers with diplomatic immunity, those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women over 7 months, and passengers traveling with children under 2 years old are allowed to use the priority lane.

Vietnamese citizens holding diplomatic or official passports/ ABTC cards/ crew members on departing flights are eligible to register and use the Automated Departure Control Gate (Autogate).
