According to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Tourism , the total number of tourists visiting, relaxing, and staying at hotels, resorts, and beaches in the province from February 10th to February 12th (i.e., from the 1st to the 3rd day of Tet) reached approximately 361,138, an increase of 40.05% compared to Tet 2023. Of these, about 178,219 were overnight guests, with approximately 3,292 being international visitors. Revenue reached approximately VND 237.434 billion, an increase of 8.12% compared to Tet 2023.
At many times, the coastal streets of Vung Tau are packed with tourists during the spring festival.
According to observations, in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, which receives a large number of visitors from within the province, even on the 4th day of Tet (Lunar New Year), many people were still coming to enjoy themselves and swim in the sea.
According to city leaders, in order to maintain the landscape and ensure urban order, the city has assigned local authorities to deploy on-duty personnel so that residents can celebrate Tet with peace of mind and tourists can be satisfied when visiting the city.
Locals and tourists are assured of safety while celebrating the Lunar New Year.
Similarly, in Dong Nai province, by the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year), the locality had welcomed nearly 90,000 tourists for sightseeing and recreation. Some tourist areas and attractions such as Suoi Mo, Buu Long, Son Tien, etc., received between 10,000 and over 20,000 visitors during the three days of Tet.
Buu Long tourist area also welcomes a large number of visitors for recreation and sightseeing.
Several other tourist areas and destinations, such as Viet Bamboo Village, Golden Scorpion, Mango Garden, and Cat Tien National Park, also welcomed thousands of visitors during the Tet holiday.
According to tourism businesses, entrance fees remain unchanged this year, with many places even offering discounts and promotions.
Many activities attract tourists to Buu Long during the Lunar New Year.
In Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa province), according to our reporter's observations, the number of tourists increased sharply on the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year). Even early on the fourth day, visitors continued to flock to entertainment and sightseeing spots. Some locations such as Vinwonders Nha Trang, Ponagar Tower, and the Oceanographic Museum were crowded with tourists.
Many young people enjoy watching fish at the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography.
On the third day of the Lunar New Year, Nha Trang was crowded with both domestic and international tourists. Particularly on the first and second days of the Lunar New Year, Nha Trang Tourist Wharf welcomed over 7,000 visitors on sea and island tours.
On the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year), the Ponagar Tower also attracted more than 9,200 visitors. On the second and third days of Tet, the Oceanographic Museum received over 10,000 visitors. Hon Tre Island alone welcomed thousands of tourists and overnight stays each day.
Many families and groups of young people choose to visit several aquariums in Nha Trang to admire various marine creatures.
