Opening of the 2025 Provincial Tennis - Pickleball Tournament

On February 19, at the Guest House of the Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Son La Provincial Tennis and Pickleball Championship.

This is the first time the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized a pickleball tournament at the provincial level , attracting more than 450 athletes from 70 delegations from agencies, units, departments, branches and clubs in the province . The athletes will compete in 5 events: men's singles, women's singles, women's doubles, mixed doubles according to 2 age groups (under 40 years old, 40 years old and above) and men's doubles according to 3 age groups (under 40 years old, 40-49 years old, 50 years old and above).

The 2025 Pickleball Tournament aims to promote and develop the pickleball movement in the province, create a healthy and useful playground, improve health and spiritual life, and aim to build a habit of regular physical exercise in each citizen. Through the tournament, the organizing committee will select athletes with good achievements to prepare forces to compete in upcoming regional and national tournaments.

After the opening ceremony, the athletes will compete in the following categories: men's doubles under 40 years old, men's doubles 40 years old and over, and women's doubles under 40 years old. The tournament will take place from February 19 to 23, 2025./.
