This is an activity organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (1950 - 2025); the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2025); 102 years since President Ho Chi Minh set foot in Petrograd (now Saint Petersburg) - his first stop in the Soviet Union; 15 years of establishment and operation of the Ho Chi Minh Institute - the first and only research institute on President Ho Chi Minh abroad established at St. Petersburg State University (2010 - 2025) and 10 years of cooperation between St. Petersburg State University and the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace (2015 - 2025).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace Le Thi Phuong said: President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of the Vietnamese national liberation, an outstanding cultural figure. His life and great revolutionary career are an epic, a shining example of patriotism, a great source of encouragement for the entire Vietnamese people and peace- loving peoples around the world.
On his journey to save the country and liberate the nation, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh had many important activities in the Soviet Union (now the Russian Federation) and had deep and lasting affection for the country and its people. He affirmed that the October Revolution was not only an achievement of the Russian people but also a victory of all oppressed peoples around the world, including the Vietnamese people.

Today, the Vietnam - Russia relationship has taken on the character of a "special solidarity relationship", overcoming the test of time and special political circumstances. During the most difficult years, at times when life and death were hanging by a thread, the Vietnamese people always received the sincere, righteous, and fraternal help of the Russian people in the cause of national liberation and nation building.
For the Russian people, President Ho Chi Minh played an important role in the liberation and construction of Vietnam, as well as in fostering the strong friendship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today. At President Ho Chi Minh's residence and workplace at the Presidential Palace today, precious historical documents and artifacts imbued with the Vietnam-Russia relationship are still preserved, along with familiar, everyday stories about his heart for Russia and the affection of Soviet Russia for beloved Uncle Ho of the Vietnamese people.

The thematic exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - The founder of Vietnam - Russia friendship" introduces to the public and people of Russia valuable documents and images about Nguyen Ai Quoc's vibrant activities in Lenin's homeland; his efforts in strengthening and consolidating the close friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

The exhibition is divided into three parts: Part 1: Nguyen Ai Quoc in the land of Lenin; Part 2: President Ho Chi Minh with Russia and the Russian people's feelings for him; Part 3: Friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025), the Vietnam - Russia relationship has been developing strongly and comprehensively in many fields, especially after the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership. This relationship is built on the foundation of traditional friendship and mutual trust, overcoming many challenges of time.

The exhibition of archival documents and images of President Ho Chi Minh's activities in the Russian Federation by the Relic Site at Saint Petersburg State University - where many generations of Vietnamese students have been trained - is a meaningful activity, reminding people of the historical connection between the two nations, aiming to enhance awareness and understanding of the people of the two countries about the moral qualities, diplomatic policies and peaceful ideology of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation on the basis of the results achieved in the past, building and developing that relationship in the present and a better future.
During their stay in Russia, the delegation of the Relic Site met with Ms. Tatiana Ghermanovna, daughter of cosmonaut German Stepanovich Titov - the second cosmonaut of the Soviet Union. He was welcomed by President Ho Chi Minh and taken to visit many localities in 1962. He made important contributions to the struggle for national liberation and unification of the Vietnamese people, fostering the special friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union. During his visit to Vietnam in 1962, hero G. Titov respectfully presented Uncle Ho with the book "700,000 km in space". During the meeting, Ms. Tatiana presented the book "700,000 km in space" to the delegation of the Relic Site.
The donation of artifacts of President Ho Chi Minh to the Russian Federation is not only an act of great humanistic value but also demonstrates the awareness of preserving history, spreading the ideological and moral values of Ho Chi Minh, as well as strengthening the relationship between nations on the basis of common memory and belief in peace. At the same time, it emphasizes the international influence of Uncle Ho, as a symbol of peace, national independence and humanism./.
