On the morning of August 22, at the Hai Phong Museum Exhibition House (66 Dien Bien Phu, Hong Bang Ward), Hai Phong Museum (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Imprints of historical autumn".

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Political Department of the Navy, relevant departments, branches and units, along with a large number of people and tourists.

The exhibition space is designed solemnly and modernly, recreating historical memories with more than 250 documents, images and vivid artifacts. The topic summarizes the process from the August Revolution in 1945, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to 80 years of building, defending the Fatherland and developing the country.

The exhibition content affirms the leadership role of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh , while honoring the historical value of the August Revolution, arousing the pride and responsibility of each citizen in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The content of the topic is divided into two parts: Part one, "Vietnam - Independence, Self-reliance" recreates the context of the people of the whole country rising up to seize power, leading to the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945, and the process of the country overcoming difficulties, winning the resistance war against France and the US, unifying the country, carrying out the renovation and international integration.

Part two, “Hai Phong in the August Revolution and its achievements” focuses on clarifying local imprints: uprisings to seize power in Hai Duong (August 18), Hai Phong (August 23), Kien An (August 24), widespread revolutionary movements such as “breaking rice warehouses, saving lives”, supporting Tran Hung Dao War Zone…

The exhibition also introduces the city's outstanding achievements over the past 80 years, from a revolutionary center to a green, civilized, modern port city, growing strongly in the process of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

The exhibition, which takes place from August 22 to the end of October 2025, not only has profound political, cultural and historical significance, but is also an opportunity to promote and educate traditions for the younger generation, encourage the spirit of competition, arouse confidence and aspirations for development, contributing to building Hai Phong and the country to become increasingly rich and prosperous.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
