In preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine is organizing a program of "Free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication distribution" in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi, from January 17th to 25th, 2026. This program demonstrates the social responsibility of the medical staff, lecturers, and medical students in caring for community health.

The Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine provided free medical examinations and treatment to 2,500 people from families receiving preferential treatment, war veterans, and the elderly.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine, affirmed that this is a traditional activity of the Academy with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of "repaying gratitude," and at the same time contributing to promoting the value of Vietnamese traditional medicine in caring for and protecting the health of the people.
The Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy and Tue Tinh Hospital have sent a team of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated medical staff to ensure that examinations and consultations are carried out thoroughly, effectively, and appropriately for the target audience.

Mr. Dinh Hong Phong, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, highly appreciated the proactive and responsible efforts of the units in organizing primary healthcare activities for policy beneficiaries and the elderly in the area. He also emphasized that, in the context of rapid population aging, strengthening primary healthcare, early detection, and management of non-communicable diseases in the elderly is of paramount importance.

The Hanoi Department of Health always encourages and supports collaborative models between local authorities and central-level medical facilities in the care, protection, and improvement of people's health, contributing to the effective achievement of the capital's social welfare goals.
The program was organized in five phases at five residential areas in Kieu Phu commune. The goal was to provide free medical examinations, health consultations, medication, and non-drug treatments for approximately 2,500 people. The main beneficiaries were families receiving government assistance, those who contributed to the revolution, the elderly, and households in difficult circumstances.

The free medical examination and treatment program was organized in 5 phases at 5 residential areas.
Doctors not only examined patients and prescribed treatment but also advised people on lifestyle, nutrition, disease prevention, and long-term health care, especially for the elderly. In addition, the organizers prepared gifts including medicine and essential supplies to give to the people. These practical gifts helped alleviate difficulties and gave people more peace of mind regarding their health care, especially as the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 approaches.
