Fans flocked to a sidewalk cafe, specifically to find the chair where Son Tung M-TP was sitting, to take photos.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - After Son Tung M-TP posted a photo taken in the park next to Notre Dame Cathedral (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), fans immediately flocked there hoping to meet the singer.

Earlier, during the New Year's Eve concert on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street (December 31, 2024), Son Tung M-TP invited his fans to have coffee with him at Notre Dame Cathedral.

Keeping his promise, on the afternoon of January 3rd, Son Tung M-TP shared a picture of himself drinking coffee at 30/4 Park, next to Notre Dame Cathedral (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The male singer also made many people laugh with a moment of him sitting slumped on a bench, looking bored because he had no one to go on a date with.

The post attracted over 400,000 interactions in just 3 hours. Notably, even though the singer didn't reveal the specific time he was at the April 30th Park, some young people were still curious and went to the location.

According to observations by a Dan Tri reporter on the afternoon of January 3rd, a number of young people flocked to the April 30th Park hoping to meet their idols.

Tran Chi (born in 2006, residing in District 8) said that as soon as she saw Son Tung post the photo, she and her best friend immediately went to 30/4 Park to investigate. However, they waited there for almost an hour but saw nothing unusual.

Tran Chi shared: "We came here with the intention of taking check-in photos, not thinking we'd have the chance to meet Son Tung M-TP. I guess he took this photo before."

A few minutes later, Thanh Thảo (born in 1999, Gò Vấp district) and her boyfriend also rushed to 30/4 Park to look for Sơn Tùng M-TP. The girl even brought a glass of water and posed like Sơn Tùng in the photo.

Thanh Thảo said that even though she knew the chances of meeting Sơn Tùng were slim, she still took advantage of her lunch break to go to the park to try and meet her idol. If she couldn't meet Sơn Tùng, she still wanted to take a "selfie" at the exact spot where the male singer had sat.

In another case, Ngoc Nhi (born in 2008, Tan Binh district) was present around Notre Dame Cathedral from early morning to take commemorative photos. Although she had no intention of meeting Son Tung M-TP, Ngoc Nhi was also present in the park at the time the singer from Thai Binh posted the photos on his personal page.

However, she said: "At the time Son Tung M-TP posted the message, I was standing right in 30/4 Park but I didn't see him anywhere."

Reporters also inquired with several sanitation workers and parking attendants around the April 30th Park area, but none of them had seen Son Tung M-TP. Similarly, owners of sidewalk cafes near Notre Dame Cathedral also confirmed they had not seen Son Tung M-TP buy coffee at their establishments.

A shop owner said that for the past two days, many young people have come to her shop and asked for information about Son Tung M-TP, but she doesn't know anything.
