According to Xinhua news agency, at the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that relations between China and Russia are strengthened, stable, sustainable, and independent, with solid mutual political trust.
The two sides have increasingly deep strategic coordination, with broad prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation, strong people-to-people exchanges, and constructive international cooperation.
The head of China's foreign ministry affirmed that Beijing is ready to cooperate with Moscow to uphold the original aspiration of long-lasting friendship and good neighborliness, strong mutual support, safeguarding each other's core interests, and always being good partners for each other's development and recovery.
In addition, the cooperation also aims to address the complex and volatile international situation, as well as external instability and obstacles.
Noting that the two countries can maintain contact and coordinate cooperation in the East Asian region, according to Wang Yi, China is ready to cooperate with Russia to ensure an inclusive, open, ASEAN-centered regional cooperation structure, promoting the existing East Asian mechanism to strengthen cooperative consensus for peace , stability and prosperity of the region.
For his part, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that, following the strategic guidance of the two countries' heads of state, Russia and China have maintained close contact, strengthened strategic coordination, jointly defended a just international order, pursued genuine multilateralism, and injected positive energy into building a multipolar world.
The head of Russia's foreign ministry affirmed that Moscow will cooperate with Beijing to support ASEAN's central role and prevent interference and infiltration by external forces.
