According to Mr. Truong Van Tien, Director of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Khanh Hoa province, the event marks an important milestone in the process of restoring the Eastern European market, opening a new growth phase for the province's tourism industry.

"These are tourists who stay for a long time and spend a lot. Restoring the Russian market and expanding to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will help Khanh Hoa diversify its tourist sources and increase the percentage of international tourists visiting the province," said Mr. Truong Van Tien.

From October 2025, Nordwind Airlines will operate an average of 18-22 flights per month, with an estimated 6,800 passengers per month. The airline's flights will depart from eight Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Kazan, Irkutsk, and Krasnoyarsk.

Currently, international flights to Cam Ranh Airport maintain 33-34 flights per day, with South Korea and China continuing to be the two main markets, contributing a large and stable volume. At the same time, there are approximately 30 flights per week from Russia to Cam Ranh, including 26 charter flights operated by Ikar Airlines, IreAero, Azur Air, RedWings, and Vietjet Air, along with 4 commercial flights by Aeroflot.
