Attending the ceremony were: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, along with leaders of central ministries, departments, and agencies, and provinces and cities.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, along with Party and State leaders and leaders of Quang Tri province, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Memorial Area for General Secretary Le Duan.
The Le Duẩn Memorial Area was started in 2002 in Hau Kien village, Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province – the birthplace and childhood home of General Secretary Le Duẩn – to honor, commemorate, and educate present and future generations about revolutionary traditions. The project was classified as a national historical site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2010.
Over time, due to limited initial investment, the memorial site has deteriorated and no longer meets the requirements for receiving officials, citizens, and visitors from all over. Therefore, Quang Tri province has proactively proposed investing in the Project to Preserve and Restore the General Secretary Le Duẩn Memorial Site.
With a total investment of 45 billion VND, the project focuses on the following main items: preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of the Memorial House; upgrading the Exhibition and Memorial House; constructing the Management and Reception House, main gate, historical monument, riverbank, embankment system, gardens, electricity, water, and lighting...

The artifacts are on display inside the General Secretary Le Duẩn Memorial Area.
The design elements are harmoniously integrated with the local cultural space, ensuring functionality for receiving guests while preserving and promoting the original values of the historical site reflecting the life of Comrade Le Duan.
Comrade Le Duan, whose real name was Le Van Nhuan, was born on April 7, 1907, into a family with a tradition of patriotism, respect for humanity, and a love of learning in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province.
Throughout nearly 60 years of revolutionary activity, with 26 consecutive years as First Secretary and then General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party from 1960 to 1986 – a period of decisive importance to the nation's destiny – Comrade Le Duan, together with the Politburo and the Central Committee of the Party, comprehensively formulated and led the major strategies of the Vietnamese revolution, bringing the cause of national liberation to complete victory and firmly advancing on the path of building socialism.
Comrade Le Duan was the person who proposed and developed many sharp and creative strategic guidelines, especially in directing the revolution in the South – most notably with the "Outline of the Revolution in the South" – a landmark theoretical document that served as the basis for many important resolutions of the Party later on.

People visit the interior of the Le Duẩn Memorial Area.
Under your direct leadership, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army overcame countless sacrifices and hardships to achieve the Great Victory of Spring 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
Not only was Comrade Le Duan an outstanding leader on the political and military fronts, but he was also a great theorist, a creative thinker of his time, with hundreds of valuable political and theoretical works that contributed to shaping and developing Vietnamese revolutionary thought in the Ho Chi Minh era.
For more than half a century of tireless revolutionary activity, General Secretary Le Duan left the Party and the nation an invaluable legacy – absolute loyalty to the Fatherland and the People; intellectual prowess, organizational talent, scientific and creative revolutionary methods; a warm and approachable nature, a compassionate heart, and unwavering faith in the nation's future, even in the most difficult and challenging circumstances…/.
