- Patriotic emulation movements in Tuyen Quang province have been intensified with diverse forms and practical content. As a result, many outstanding collectives and individuals have emerged in various fields. Timely recognition has further motivated each citizen, official, and Party member to continuously strive and contribute to the overall development of the province.

Ordinary role models

In our province, emulation movements such as: "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025", " Tuyen Quang joins forces to build new rural areas", "Excellent workers, creative workers", "Emulation in good teaching - good learning"... have become driving forces promoting the spirit of emulation and solidarity among all strata of the people. Through these movements, many ordinary but powerful role models have been discovered and promptly commended.

Mr. Tran Duc Tap, a worker in the equipment management and repair workshop of Tuyen Quang Steel and Iron Company Limited, is one of 50 outstanding workers awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Labor Union for his excellent achievements in labor, production, and work during the 2022-2025 period. In his work, he always strictly adheres to occupational safety and hygiene regulations; enthusiastically helps colleagues; and proactively maintains and services machinery and equipment according to technical procedures, ensuring production progress and quality. Mr. Tran Van Trang, Head of Doan Ket 2 village, Thanh Long commune (Ham Yen district), is a typical example in the "Tuyen Quang joins hands to build new rural areas" movement. As the "conductor" of the movement in his locality, he has propagated and mobilized people to contribute labor and funds to complete 6.5 km of rural concrete roads, build a cultural house, and support 10 households in replacing temporary houses. At the same time, he also encouraged villagers to maintain the effective model of cooperative cucumber cultivation, contributing to increasing people's income. Mr. Trang's contributions helped Thanh Long commune complete all 19 criteria for new rural development. For his positive contributions, Mr. Trang was honored with a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Le Quang Huy, a 12th-grade student specializing in English at Tuyen Quang High School for Gifted Students, is a source of pride for the province's education sector, having achieved a score of 1560/1600 on the SAT exam, placing him in the top 1% globally. For this outstanding achievement, he was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Huy shared: “The timely attention and recognition from the province is a great source of encouragement for me. This award not only boosts my own morale but also inspires other students to strive harder in their studies, pursue their dreams, and contribute to the development of our homeland and country.”

Give praise to the right people, in a timely and genuine way.

In 2024, the entire province had more than 1,668 collectives and individuals receiving awards at the provincial level. Of these, 834 out of 968 individuals were direct laborers, accounting for nearly 86.2% of the total number of individuals receiving awards.

In particular, the awarding of exceptional achievements is given timely attention, with procedures implemented quickly, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations, ensuring transparency and contributing to strong motivation for emulation and spreading positive values ​​in the community. Individuals with outstanding achievements are promptly encouraged, creating a significant ripple effect from public opinion. For example, the exemplary actions of Captain Luc Van Nguyen, a police officer in Yen Thuan commune, and Mr. Lieu Van Quyet, from Cau Treo village, Yen Thuan commune (Ham Yen district), who bravely rescued people swept away by floodwaters on September 8, 2024; or Le Quang Huy, a 12th-grade student specializing in English at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted, who excellently achieved 1,560/1,600 points in the SAT exam, placing him in the top 1% worldwide.

According to Mr. Tran Van Tien, Head of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Board, in recent years, the province's emulation and commendation work has always closely followed the requirements of innovation, aiming for tangible effectiveness linked to political tasks and work efficiency. In particular, emphasis has been placed on timely and appropriate commendation, especially for direct laborers, who are the center of emulation movements.

In the coming period, alongside identifying, nurturing, and replicating exemplary models, Tuyen Quang province will continue to promote patriotic emulation movements linked to socio-economic development tasks and the building of a clean and strong Party and political system. At the same time, it will continue to innovate the content and forms of emulation; provide timely, public, and transparent rewards, contributing to creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere and encouraging all sectors of the population to enthusiastically strive for new achievements.
