Launching English Challenge Season 9

On December 24th, the Organizing Committee of the English Challenge Program held a meeting to approve the organization of the 9th season. Attending the meeting were representatives from the leadership of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, and the 2G International Education Organization.

The English Challenge program is where primary school students learn, explore , and improve their English skills through exciting and creative competitions.

Over the past eight seasons, the English Challenge has consistently been a valuable platform, providing students with opportunities to assess their abilities, develop strong mental resilience and self-confidence, and acquire comprehensive skills while expanding their social interactions with peers in Nghe An province and neighboring areas. This community-oriented program is organized by the Nghe An Newspaper and Radio & Television Station in collaboration with the Nghe An Department of Education and Training and the 2G Education International Organization.

This year, the Organizing Committee plans to conduct two preliminary rounds. In the first preliminary round, the program will organize three testing clusters. Outstanding contestants will then proceed to the second preliminary round, held at the 2G International Education Organization. Those who pass this round will advance to the weekly rounds of the program. Therefore, the number of contestants participating in this year's preliminary round is expected to be higher than in previous seasons. Based on the voluntary participation of students and primary schools, the local Departments of Culture and Social Affairs will select the most outstanding students to form teams for the first preliminary round.

At the meeting, delegates unanimously agreed on the draft assignment of tasks for the Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel; the prize structure; and also provided feedback on the implementation plan, regulations, content, and format of the preliminary rounds, as well as the program's overall format.

Over the past eight seasons, the English Challenge program has attracted thousands of primary school students from schools in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, as well as students from English language centers in the area, to participate and test their skills. Many of the winners have received scholarships worth thousands of dollars and trips to Singapore for sightseeing and experiences.
