The event, held at the Center for Business Services and Support (Hanoi), attracted the participation of over 350 officials, union members, and workers, along with representatives from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Science and Technology , central industry trade unions, businesses, and partners.

In his opening remarks, Comrade Tran Vu Ha, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, emphasized that the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health are peak times for the entire industry to demonstrate responsibility in caring for the lives, ensuring the rights and safety of workers. This is also a time for the scientific and technological intellectual workforce to innovate their thinking and working methods, boldly apply technology, digitize processes, and improve techniques in labor.
This year's event holds special significance as it aligns with the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo , emphasizing the crucial role of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in national development. This spirit has been concretized through the call to action from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations to all its members: Every worker is a "transformation agent," contributing to the creation of a safe, green, and sustainable labor model.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Tran Mai, Vice Chairman of the VNPT Hanoi Trade Union, representing the officials, union members, and workers of the entire industry, responded to the Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, pledging to continue innovating and creating in labor, and building a safe, green, clean, and beautiful working environment.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Huynh Thanh Xuan, highly appreciated the pioneering and innovative role of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union. He emphasized that science and technology officials not only inspire knowledge but also serve as a force accompanying the sustainable development of the country. The Science and Technology Trade Union has been and continues to be a leading force in the emulation movement of the new era.
At the ceremony, many outstanding collectives and individuals in the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health" movement in 2024 were honored. Additionally, 20 meaningful gifts were presented to union members in difficult circumstances, demonstrating the profound humanitarian spirit of the trade union organization.

Delegates pressed the "Kickoff" button to officially launch the Workers' Month and the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month 2025 at the ceremony.
One of the notable highlights was the "Kickoff" ceremony – officially launching the Workers' Month, the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, and the emulation movement for innovation, digital transformation, with the participation of leaders from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union.
Alongside the event, the "Workers' Market" on VNPOST's e-commerce platform was launched, connecting essential products with workers at preferential prices while promoting Vietnamese goods. In addition, Medlatec Group implemented a program of free health check-ups and medical consultations, contributing to community health care in a practical way.
In 2024, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) made significant contributions to protecting workers: minimizing workplace accidents, preventing serious incidents, and simultaneously improving income and working conditions. Entering 2025, the union will continue to focus on spreading the spirit of innovation, raising awareness of occupational safety and health, and fostering initiatives from workers – aiming to drive the strong development of the science and technology sector in the era of digital transformation.
The ceremony concluded with a high level of determination, affirming the pivotal role of the trade union in the science and technology sector in uniting workers, providing comprehensive care, and pioneering innovation for a modern, developed, and humane Vietnam.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan presented Certificates of Merit to two units for "Outstanding achievements in the Green - Clean - Beautiful emulation movement and ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in 2024."

Awards of commendation were presented to 11 grassroots trade unions under the higher-level trade union and grassroots trade unions under the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union for "Outstanding achievements in the Green - Clean - Beautiful emulation movement and ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in 2024."

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations directly presented 20 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
