The Thanh Hoa City Open Vovinam Tournament has begun.

The 2023 Thanh Hoa City Open Vovinam Tournament was held for the first time, with the participation of over 200 athletes and coaches from Vovinam clubs in the province.

Over 200 athletes and coaches participated in the tournament.

On the morning of June 24th, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Ham Rong High School, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City organized the 2023 Vovinam Open Tournament with the participation of over 200 athletes and coaches from 15 Vovinam clubs from districts, towns, cities, schools, and units in the province.

Leaders of the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee delivered the opening speech for the tournament.

The athletes competed in 30 events, including: 5 kata events for the age group 11 and under; 5 kata events and 10 sparring weight categories for men and women in the age group 12-15; and 4 kata events and 6 sparring weight categories for men and women in the age group 16 and over.

The Organizing Committee presented commemorative flags to the participating teams.

Although it was the first time the tournament was held, it attracted the participation of many strong units in the province such as Sam Son city, Nghi Son town, Bim Son town, and the districts of Quang Xuong, Dong Son, Hoang Hoa, and Cam Thuy…

The athletes competed in the various events of the tournament.

The tournament took place over two days, June 24th and 25th, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Ham Rong High School.

The Organizing Committee will award medals and prizes to athletes who achieve high rankings in the competition events, with a total of 30 sets of medals, and will also award first, second, and third place overall prizes to the best performing units. The competition will conclude on the afternoon of June 25th with a closing ceremony and awards presentation.
