Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy changed the strategy of Chairman Duc: Not signing contracts until the age of 28.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy continues to implement a particularly important revolution for the LPBank HAGL Academy, with the key point being to only sign contracts up to the age of 24 in order to attract talent.

Captain Nguyen Quoc Viet of U.21 LPBank HAGL is one of the familiar names in the Vietnam U.23 national team.

A year after Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy invested in HAGL FC, the team and the LPBank HAGL Academy have undergone significant changes, successfully avoiding relegation last season and continuing to maintain their commitment to using young players they have trained to support the Vietnamese national teams. Most recently, the leadership of the LPBank HAGL Academy respectfully announced to parents, students, football fans nationwide, and the media about the football revolution initiated by Mr. Thuy. Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Phat Commercial Bank of Vietnam – held a meeting with Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of HAGL Joint Stock Company – to focus on investing in upgrading the LPBank HAGL Academy into a national football talent training center, contributing to the strong and sustainable development of Vietnamese football.

As a result, Mr. Thuy and Mr. Duc agreed: "In order to attract talented young players to join the LPBank HAGL Academy, and at the same time create opportunities for players to seek career development, from August 22, 2024, the academy will sign training contracts with new trainees with a clause requiring them to serve HAGL Club after completing the training program until the age of 24 (instead of until the age of 28 as in the previous training contract). The academy will upgrade facilities and training grounds; build new tactical analysis rooms, sports medicine rooms, and hyperbaric oxygen recovery chambers for players after training and matches... Alongside upgrading facilities, the LPBank HAGL Academy will promote digitalization and implement a youth training curriculum (Tactical Pad) that meets AFC standards for coaches and trainees."

The youth teams of the LPBank HAGL academy are undergoing a transformation since Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy invested in them.

The academy will continue to leverage its strengths in academic training, improving English proficiency, and paying special attention to educating young players on moral character, honesty, and fair play. This is considered a crucial and revolutionary first step by Mr. Thuy and Chairman Duc, helping the LPBank HAGL Academy increase its attractiveness to prospective students, as parents will no longer be concerned about the commitment clause until the age of 28. From there, the LPBank HAGL Academy will have a huge advantage, allowing families to prioritize sending their children to the youth academy that just won the national U.21 championship, ensuring their children receive comprehensive training in both academics and football, and will soon receive contract benefits from the age of 24, among the earliest in Vietnam's youth training academies.
