Before, during and after Tet, the working group is present at Tam Ky bus station, Chu Lai Airport; passenger terminals across the Tam Quang - Tam Hai, Tam Hoa, Cua Lo rivers in Nui Thanh district" - Inspector Nguyen Hong Hai, in charge of the working group in southern Quang Nam said.

Chief Inspector of Quang Nam Department of Transport - Mr. Truong Van Son shared that, implementing the plan to ensure traffic order and safety associated with epidemic prevention work during Tet and the 2025 spring festival, the unit has issued a decision to inspect compliance with legal regulations on ensuring traffic safety on roads, river crossings; transportation activities, transportation support services at bus stations and parking lots.

The content of the tasks to be performed is thoroughly communicated to the working groups. Regarding road traffic safety, inspectors are responsible for checking the condition of the road surface to ensure traffic before and during Tet; ensuring traffic safety at construction sites on the routes. Regarding road transport, the inspection focuses on the conditions and standards of the vehicles; vehicle drivers; and parking lot regulations.

Also according to Mr. Truong Van Son, for cross-river passenger transport activities, the working groups check the certificate of professional competence, vehicle driving certificate; certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection of the vehicle; vehicle registration certificate; equipment of life-saving and rescue equipment on the vehicle; number of people allowed to carry, environmental sanitation and other relevant regulations. Before the Tet holiday, continuously from January 20 to January 24, 2025 (ie from December 21 to 25, Giap Thin year), the working group in charge of Northern Quang Nam inspected traffic safety on National Highways (QL) 14B, DT609, DT609B, DT609C, QL14H, QL14D, DT605; passenger wharves across the Tinh Dong Tay - Dong Phuoc, Dau Go - Tam Hiep rivers (Dai Loc district), Dai Loc bus station.

On the third day of Tet, the Northern Quang Nam working group consisting of 3 members continued to carry out their duties at the Northern Quang Nam bus station (Dien Ban town), then went up to Dai Loc district to grasp the situation of the passenger station across the Tinh Dong Tay - Dong Phuoc river.

Inspector Thai Minh Hoang, in charge of the Northern Quang Nam working group, said that on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, members went on field trips to Nam Phuoc bus station (Duy Xuyen district), Ong Doc 1 - Ong Doc 2 river crossing bus station (Dien Ban town); and on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, they went to Dai Loc bus station, Dau Go - Tam Hiep river crossing bus station. "We encouraged each other to be determined to fulfill the assigned tasks well in order to contribute to the overall success of the passenger transport campaign serving the Lunar New Year in the transport sector, so that all classes of people can travel safely during the spring festival" - Mr. Thai Minh Hoang shared.

According to Mr. Le Quang Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Quang Nam, the Department of Transport Inspectorate is one of the key units of the industry assigned specifically to implement the plan to serve the travel needs of the people, ensuring traffic safety during Tet and spring festivals in 2025. In addition to other tasks, this unit also strengthens the inspection of transport services, compliance with regulations on business and conditions of transport business, strictly handles violations; focuses on inspecting and checking passenger transport activities by car to and from Chu Lai Airport.

It is forecasted that after 9 days of Tet holiday, people will return to big cities to continue living, working and studying in large numbers, especially in the southern provinces and cities. Therefore, the inspection force will strengthen inspection and strictly handle the situation of "illegal buses, illegal stations", "disguised buses", overloaded cargo vehicles, vehicles carrying more people than allowed; receive feedback and handle information about the situation of booking tickets by phone and collecting fares at prices higher than the declared and listed ticket prices according to regulations.

Urge inland waterway ports to strictly comply with traffic safety regulations, carry the correct tonnage allowed for the vehicle, and comply with regulations on conditions for waterway transport business.

Mr. Truong Van Son said that in addition to road and inland waterway transport, the unit's leaders will closely go to the field with the working groups to inspect and handle violations of regulations on traffic infrastructure protection. Remind project management units and contractors returning to construction after Tet to pay attention to ensuring traffic safety according to the approved plan; especially on routes that are both under construction and in operation. Grasp the situation, promptly report any newly arising shortcomings and damages on DT and QL routes that pose a risk of causing traffic safety to the leaders of the Department of Transport for direction to correct and handle violations.
