Latest pictures of Cong Vinh.

Le Cong Vinh appeared with nearly half of his hair gray, his face was noticeably thinner and his demeanor was more subdued than usual. The images circulating on social networks showed a Cong Vinh very different from the sleek, neat appearance of his playing days or his time as a football manager.

This is one of the rare times Cong Vinh has appeared. Most recently, he and Van Quyen participated in a friendly match in Ho Chi Minh City, recalling the image of the striker pair who left many marks in the Vietnamese national team jersey.

Born in 1985 in Nghe An , Cong Vinh is one of the best strikers in the history of Vietnamese football. He holds the record for most goals scored for the national team (51 goals), and is also a symbol of the golden generation that helped Vietnam win the AFF Cup 2008 with a historic header against Thailand.

During his peak career, Cong Vinh won the Vietnam Golden Ball 3 times (2004, 2006, 2007), won the V.League championship twice with Becamex Binh Duong . Cong Vinh retired at the end of 2016, almost withdrawing from the football field. He tried his hand at Ho Chi Minh City Club, opened a football academy, worked in media, but ultimately chose a private life.

In early 2025, Cong Vinh's appearance in the AFC C coaching class attracted attention. Not only did he participate as a student, he was also elected as the class president, demonstrating the prestige and discipline of the former captain of the Vietnam national team.
